On 2/7/2016 my wife and I entered into a contract with Clear Choice of York at their West York Location.Their company rep who ran the office and who's name I will not say here really hit us with a very pressered sales pitch.Although she was not an audiologist she tested my wifes hearing and decided that it would be wise for us to purchase hearing aids. We paid her a total of $3500.00 for them and was advised that if they did not work out our money would be refunded in full. When after several attempts by my wife to use them unsucessfully we returned them. We were told that it would be two weeks before our money would be returned to us. After two weeks I called their office and got no reply. I then called the manager of the york locations and advised him what I was trying to get. I did not hear back from him but did hear back from the representative who sold them to us and she was quite angry telling us that she had our money and was getting ready to send it out to us but she was fired. to make a long story short this representative had her own accounts set up with the hearing aid mfgrs and was selling them direct to us. when the manager took my phone call he put two and two together and saw where she was comminting fraud. A week has passed and no money received from the girl who was fired and had our money. All attempts to call her have failed and this tells me that she is a crook and since the company hired her they have to bear the responsisbility for her. When contacting the manager he stated that no order was in the system for us. Sio even though his dully hired rep took my wife and I in a big scam he acted very snotty about it. I have provided him copoies of the contract as well as copies of my checks totaling 3500.00 and all I am asking for is to get my money back from the companyi. His reply was he wants to have the paper work in front of him and meet with me and my wife and work something out. How rediculous he is not trying to take us to the cleaners. I believe that he does not want to go after the girl he fired because she accused him of trying to make out with her. In conclusion I am getting no where with this company. It looks like I will have to spend more money and sue these people

Review: I have hearing problems and wanted hearing aids. I was pressureed into buying hearing aids . High pressure salesman [redacted]. Lied to repeatedly. I had two repairs done, now I need a third. I bought them a year ago in April. I tried to change my phone number with [redacted] At [redacted] store, she did not put it in the computer. That is the only phone number they will give me. At the east york office he said he kept calling the wrong to let me know my repair was back, and ready to pick up. They are a very shady outfit. I work a full time job, and do not have time to go without them. I need them to function .the firsy both sides went in. It took 2-3 weeks. The second time it was just the right. The wires were not right. This time the handle came off to take them in and out. I was told they would not come off unless they were cut with scissorsPlease help me get new hearing aids at my doctors office, [redacted]. Thank you [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want a full refund including interest I paid to care credit. [redacted] fixed it up. He told me I would not to have pay interest. I would like to keep the aids for free as back ups. Iput 2 thousand down with a personal check and financed the rest with care credit. The bill is paid. The amount [redacted] told me they would bill me was incorrect. They sent me a low payment, when I complained to [redacted] he said he could not help me Thank you for your time

Review: I visited ClearChoice to buy a hearing aid for my 89 year old mom. She was tested and told that she needed two, one for each ear. We discussed fully the cost of the aids with [redacted]--$4,000 for two and $2250 for one. The sales rep, [redacted] was aware that we were using a coupon from [redacted] magazine that offered $700 off for trading in an old hearing aid. She offered $500 off if we got two hearing aids from the start without the coupons and informed us that we would only get an additional $200 off with the trade in coupon if we got two. I mentioned that that did not encourage someone to buy two, because it was a better deal to get $700 off of one. She agreed. We even talked about using a credit card to pay. All three of us had an understaqnding that we would receive $700 off with our purchase. Mom agreed to try dual hearing aids for the weekend but decided to get only one. Because I had to work, I sent my husband with my mom to return the trial hearing aids and to order one hearing aid that was custom fit to the inside of my mom's ear. After not hearing from [redacted] for 5 days, I pulled out the paperwork to call her. That is when I noticed that Mom had not been given any discount. After calling [redacted], she said that mom would be given a $250 credit when she picked the hearing aid. I stated that that is not what the coupon read and that it was not what we discussed. [redacted] said that she had misunderstood and misspoken, that she did not understand the coupon. [redacted] had said at our appointment that she has been employed with ClearChoice for 3 years. while in our appointment she called her boss to discuss our trial. The coupons were a ClearChoice bait and switch false advertizing that is a common practice with them. I have seen the same ads from them often. Their is another coupon offering $500 off if you bought two aids. All of the coupons indicate that they are not valid with other offers. So her explaination that the $700 is only applicable for customers that buy two is not logical.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the $700 off my hearing aid purchase like advertized. The ads continue to be published. Their own rep [redacted] confirmed that I would get $700 off. If they can prove it was an error and show me proof that it was not a scam, I will accept $500 OFF. If not, I would like a credit of my deposit back. I do have power of attorney for my mother, [redacted].

I filed a complaint on 5/21/13 with the Revdex.com concerning a purchase I made with the Clear Choice Hearing Aid Center. I wanted you to know that after hearing from your office, Clear Choice contacted me and we were able to settle the issue. I resolved the issue for the discount that I described in my resolution options--$500 off with a coupon that indicated up to $700 off.

Clear Choice did not ever explain to me how a customer would be eligible for the $700 which they initially offered me. However, I did accept the $500 off and resolved the case.

Thank you for your easy on-line option for filing the complaint and any assistance that your office provided to inspire Clear Choice to resolve my complaint so quickly. My mom really needed the hearing aid quickly.
