This home inspector was suggested by our realtor. During the process of buying this house, a roof leak happened and we were reassured by the inspector and our realtor that the house was a good purchase, it has good bones. We have had so many problems since purchasing this house, things the inspector should have caught. The most expensive item that needs replaced is our roof. We have mold in several areas of the attic, rotted wood and visible water stains in the attic and also in all of the rooms on the upper level. We have had multiple repairs done and the leaks continue. Just found out that the whole roof was installed wrong, has 80-100 holes on the roof, everything needs replaced. The most important part of your home and to find out it needs replaced within 10 months of moving in has been almost devastating. And that's not all. The dryer vent was completely clogged on the outside and inside of the house, our gas furnace died, the kitchen pipes were completey clogged and we had to hire a plumber come and unclog the pipes two days after moving in. He should have at least caught the roof issues and we could have negotiated with the seller or walked away. We got duped, big time! Paid almost $600 and he couldn't identify how bad the roof was. Extremely disappointing and would not ever recommend him to inspect a house.
