We have been trying to assist the customer from the beginning.  She told us that she might be moving in a few months so the camera was not installed.  The rest of the system was fully functional and operating.  We have not notes and Monitronics, the monitoring company has no notes...

that there were ever any problems with the system not working.  The customer passed a pre and post install survey and knew that the contract was for 5 years.  When someone decides to move they have 2 options, either we move the system or the new owners take over the contract.  She refused to have the system moved and she refused to give us the information on the buyers of her home so that we could contact them.  On a later date she did call us and tell us that she did not want it and.  She then insisted that she never signed an agreement so we mailed her a copy.  We offered to lower her rate to $39.99 because she didn't get the camera's.  There was nothing that we could do to make her happy.  We picked up the equipment and the account has been cancelled with no penalty.  Not sure what else we can do.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

We are sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused.  We no longer have any personal information on the customer...in fact, after we run credit we don't have access to that information anymore.  The sales rep is not an employee, he is an independent contractor.  The owner and manager have had a discussion with the rep and he is very remorseful.  He said that he has been in the business for several years and this has never happened.  We of course told him that we expect it never to happen in the future.  As far as the credit goes, we got verification today that [redacted] removed the credit pull.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I never authorized ANY sales rep to run my credit or assist me in anyway in obtaining service from Clear Industries and I never heard of the company until it showed up on my credit report. This is a total fabrication, I am not sure how this guy received my birthday.  I have an alarm system that was set up a couple of months ago that I am fine with.   This guy has committed fraud and I need all of my personal information destroyed and a letter from Clear Industries to let me know what type of action was done to this guy that committed fraud in my name.   I also need written confirmation that my credit inquiry has been reversed.

Regards,

I just spoke to customer...she didn't realize that all she had to do was talk to us and it would all be taken care of...her buyout was too high so we cancelled her and she is going back to her previous company.

Thought this would be a slam dunk for a great security system...Not even...worst ever. A month and a half in and I don't have all the equipment and they're charging me for equipment I'm not evening using as well as two months worth of service when I have only had it for a month and a half. Clear Protection says it's Monitronics responsibility for the account handling and Monitronics says it's Clear Protections responsibility for the account handling. Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I do not suggest this company. If you hear this name run the other way as fast as you can!!!

I LOVE my CLEAR Protection system. I've had my system since 2011 and Clear Protection came and upgraded me to their newest system (for free in 2015) that integrates my ENTIRE home. I now use it daily whether I'm home or not. The most important part of my life, my home, and family, is now on my smart-phone. I control my lights, locks, thermostat, garage doors, cameras inside and outside, and there's even an intercom on my porch from my smart-phone now. I use the locks, cameras, and thermostat the most but there's always a use for every part of the system.

This is the BEST alarm company in Arizona.

They're local.

They're knowledgeable.

They're reasonably priced.

They're honest.

I've seen / used other home system apps but this one is the BEST and easiest to use by far. Better than Nest, Digital Life, and Pulse.

Tony did not ever call my daughter.  My daughter called him, and she said she needed to talk to me once more to get my side of it.  She later called Tony again and left a message and he never called her back.
I do not want this service and I was recovering from a stroke when Tony came to sell me this product.  This stress is not good for my health or for my recovery.  Please get me out of this contract and tell your collection agency to stop harassing me immediately.  I am being harassed and I was taken advantage of in my old age after I had a stroke.

We installed this system 5/5/2016 for a monthly price of $27.99.  We had to special order a medical pendant that would work for this system and it was installed 5/25/16.  The $27.99 is $12 below the rate that is normally charged per month.  We do a pre install and post install survey...

to make sure that customers understand that they are switching over and verify the rate and term of the agreement.  Both of these surveys were passed by the customer.  We did not receive a call from anyone until 7/14/16 that they wanted to cancel.  As required by law our agreements have a 3 day timeline to cancel and this was way past the 3 days.  The sales rep, Tony, did call and speak to the customers daughter on 7/20/16 and explained everything to her and she was fine.  We did explain that if they still owe [redacted] anything that we need to get a copy of the final bill and we will pay it.  The $55.98 that the customer was billed for was for May and June.  The $88.97 was for 3 months plus a late fee because the other 2 had not been paid.

We are going to let the customer cancel.  This is a tough situation.  When customers that were with [redacted] call to cancel it is because [redacted] coaches them as to what to say.  They tell them to tell us that our rep told them that we bought out Vivint.  We never tell customers...

this.  We did a welcome call with the customers daughter because she spoke better english.  In that welcome call we go over the fact that they understand that we are not affiliated with [redacted] in any way and make sure they understand that.  What we did wrong, and we just found this out, was that the rep let the daughter sign her dads name on the agreement and we should not have.  Please have the customer remove the equipment and mail it back to us at:Clear Protection

[redacted] AZ  85206
As soon as we receive the equipment back we will cancel the account

I have emailed [redacted] the information to remove the credit pull.  It could take a couple of days.  As I stated before, we can't run signals with your old company.  We don't have access to another companies information.  We can reinstall the panel but we can't get it working.  You must contact your prior company to come back out to do that.  The salesman and the tech have been talked to regarding the issues and what they could have done differently.

When the sales rep was in the home the neighbor/caregiver was there also.  We require someone else to be aware when an elderly person signs up for a security system.  The customer and the caregiver knew completely what was going on and passed 2 welcome calls.  The customer even admitted in the first message to the Revdex.com that the sales rep said he was from [redacted].  The rep also said that he has spoken to the daughter at least 3 times and she was ok with everything.  This account has not been turned into collections, [redacted] has been calling the customer to get payment because they have been being monitored for 3 months and have not paid anything.  The customer needs to pay their bill for the services that have been rendered.  We did not hear from the customer for 2 months that there was ever any issues.  We are sorry for any stress that this may be causing but the calls to collect the bill will stop when the bill is paid.

I was never asked if it was OK to pull my credit report which hurted my credit score, the salesman knew I was going to a dentist appointment and that someone needed to call me before going to my house, plus the technician should have ask for my name my daughter at all doesn't even look 18 at all, my living room's curtains were all messed up, and how about the sales man saying they have a legal team to help prospect customers deal with their current alarm system provider, how in the world someone's else is gonna come in my house and fix what this company broke, I want this company to  take down the inquiry on my credit and fix my alarm system, this company is false advertising and doing what or takes to sale, have your salesman trained to tell the customers their credit report is being pulled that's the law.

Our sales rep [redacted] has done business with this customer in the past.  She was unhappy with her current alarm provider and [redacted] had spoken to Ms. [redacted] about changing over to our service.  When he spoke with her she told him to talk to her husband.  When he called the husband to...

get the information to see if they qualified he ran her credit.  They willingly gave us the birthdate to run the credit.   Anyway, we have contacted CSG, our monitoring company and they are calling [redacted] to see about removing the credit pull.  Our account with [redacted] is under CSG.

The customer signed the agreement to get a new security system.  Part of that agreement is signing to give permission for a credit pull.  They were not run by all 3 credit bureau's, only Equifax.  I can't remove that credit pull because they did sign the agreement.  The customer...

can dispute with [redacted] if they would like [redacted].  We apologize for the technician entering the home with an under age minor.  The tech should have asked her age, he thought she was over 18.  The customer did know that the install was happening so not sure why they left the home.  We can reimburse for the 1 week without their system.  That would be $13.  I did speak to the customer today but she hung up on me.  She will need to call her prior company to get her old system reinstated.  We can't run signals for another company.  We are sincerely sorry for all of the issues.

Clear's service and technology blew us away. We bought a new home and had an alarm in our previous home. Clear set us up with newer equipment, more of it, at a cheaper price. Clear Protection was/is great to work with!

VERY high pressur. Salesman knows how to get senior citizens to sign without realizing the term of the contract.

Do not sign with company under any circumstances, anyone signing will owe this company even when they no longer live in the home.

The worst thing I have ever done.

Be ware of the salesman they are after a quota not caring about you at all.

Horrible horrible horrible.

2500 to cancel. Robbery

Review: I was offered by the salesman Roque that his company's legal department will help me out with the issues I had with my current alarm system company I was never advised by him that my credit report was being pulled, then after all at the end he said helping customers terminating their current contract with the other company will be a conflict of interest, he said he will sand a guy to install the new alarm system when I get home, I told him to call me to make sure, I left later I called my daughter she was home underage and this installer from clear approached my house my daughter told him I was not home and kept on removing the equipment he went into my room and my daughters room without my permission left a mess and uninstall my alarm this issue happened Thursday the 24th until today march the first I have no alarm system this is an invasion of private property without the owners permission!Desired Settlement: Besides removing my name from the 3 credit bureaus I will like this company to compensate the damage of what they did almost a week with no alarm I request immediate action

*HOW I WAS SWINDLED OUT OF $1,200.00* I am a medically retired Disabled Veteran and was approached by a door to door salesman whom I agreed to speak with. As we sat down to chat he began to tell me about all of the great products that Clear Protection (an authorized vendor of [redacted]) had to offer me. I was impressed by the thought of having a front door lock with codes because I have caregivers, as well as cameras pointed to my front and back yard. Before I knew it we were signing papers to start services. Not once did I hear anything about the term of the contract. With the contract signed he headed out the door saying that the installers would be following behind him. As soon as the installers started working we ran into problems. The front door lock would not work on my front door (the biggest reason for me wanting the service). As I began to rethink signing with this company, the installer kindly approached me with an alternative option of installing the door lock on the garage entry door; my response was "that would be useless unless I had the garage door opening sensor. He then contacted his company with my request and they obliged. I was somewhat comfortable with what I had so far, but still more needed to be done the next day. The next day arrived but the installers did not. I called the sales rep. who informed me that they were behind and would arrive the next day. the next day the installers showed up to install my cameras; when I saw the cameras I was almost laughing at the poor quallity of the cameras. These cameras plugged into the wall and were down right embarrassing to have in my house. Still the installer assured me that they were good quality cameras and we set them up. As nightfall came I openened my app to see the picture quality. To my suprise there was no picture; all I could see was the reflection of a bright light on my window. Furious I called clear protection and requested to cancel service; it was then that I was informed that I was now under a 60 month contract and only had 3 days to cancel and the only way to cancel was to buy out my contract. I was steaming and asked to speak with managment who were conveniently gone fore the day. The next day I spoke with someone else who lowered my term to 36 months and assured me that my camera problem would be resolved. Feeling somewhat better I awaited the installer who informed me that there was nothing we could do about the glare. Furious again I called for management and spoke with a manager named "[redacted]" or "[redacted]" who was very rude and unwilling to listen. I called back and spoke with another manager who negotiated with me a price of $1,200.00 to buy out the contract. So now I am paying $1,200.00 all because I didnt cancel on the third day (which was the day that I recieved all of my equipment). This is by far the worst experience that I have ever had with purchasing any kind of equipment or service.I feel like I've been scammed and I+ wouldn't recommend this company to my worsy enemy.
