Clearent purchased our merchant services provider, Payment Alliance International, and was not willing to honor our existing pricing as set forth in a signed Pricing Discount Addendum Immediately upon discovering this, we asked Clearent to cancel our account and refund any fees that were above what we had agreed to pay Payment Alliance International Clearnet confirmed that our account was closed on 09/28/and that our refund request was being submitted to their billing department for review As of 12/02/we have not received a refund We have made several attempts to contact Clearent regarding this matter via E-mail and phone Clearent will not respond to our E-mails and their phone representatives tell us that this matter can only be resolved by E-mail We feel that Clearent has had ample time to address this matter and that they are stonewalling us in an attempt to avoid issuing a legitimate refund

I wanted to cancel the credit card service as I no longer needed it and had no internet service for the past several monthsSince then I have reinstated my internet serviceI filled out the cancellation form and sent it back to Clearent as requested by *** *** at National LinkPer the email from Mr*** there was an early termination fee of $if we did not process any credit cards within the day notice periodThey automatically withdrew the $after only business daysTheir withdrawal was based on the fact that there were no credit card processing in the past few monthsNow that we have internet again, we would have processed some credit card transactions to satisfy the requirement during the day noticei have an email stating that there would be no early termination fee if there were credit card transactions within this days but they did not give any time to go ahead and process these said transactions The request to cancel was originally sub

I have had several accounts with this business They failed to close the account as another was opened The account has not been used since March of I notified them of the error requested a refund Not only did they not close the account after multiple calls and emails but they have continued to charge my account
I have again contacted them and was told the account was NOW closed (TODAY) but no estimate of when they will refund the monies stolen out of my account for services not used

Our medical office had a fully functioning credit card processing company and were baited and switched to Clearent with the promise of better fees and services For the first few months of processing with Clearent things went fine There were some equipment failures and the rep replaced the equipment The rep set their equipment up to auto batch every evening at 7:30pm We found out on 2/8/that none of our charges were deducted from our patients accounts for the period of 10/15/16-2/8/17, even though the machine took the swiped cards and printed a receipt When we notified the rep, he came out and blamed it on a 'power failure' at our office that did not happen We have a back up system that notifies many people it the power goes out None of our computers (workstations) experienced any power outages and this is totally made up by the rep Clearent does NOT offer ANY back up monitoring of batches and when I spoke with the CEO of Clearent his response was "I have 50,cu

During my time using Clearant services my monthly fees were higher than my contract expectationsI paid between $40-50/month just to have the service when I was anticipating paying between $10-15/monthThey continued to charge the higher fee for several months until I found a more affordable credit card processing service for about $15/monthClearant was largely unresponsive when I tried to get in touch with my customer representative
I terminated my contract in writing with Clearant in 10-20-and secured services with another companyOn 1-24-Clearant charged me $termination fee, clearly out of my contract time with themThis fee is also excessive and unreasonable considering the overcharges I already paid with my time with Clearant
Predatory business practices should not be allowed in this industry

We are a disabled veteran owned business, founded by former Navy SEALsWe are a firearms manufacturer and dealerWe originally set our account up with Payment Alliance, who was apparently acquired by ClearentWhen we set up our account we were asked what our average ticket would be, and not fully known yet, we used the average retail price of our gunsHowever, some of our customers bought more than one gun, some wanted the guns outfitted with accessories like scopes and bipodsIn some cases, the scopes cost as much or more than a gunWe also had situations where clients wanted Class NFA items like suppressorsHowever, there is an ATF approval process where the suppressor is made, a serial number is issued, and ATF Form is filed with the ATF which can take many months to approveWhen Form is approved we can deliver suppressor to the customerIt is standard practice in the industry to receive payment at the time the Form is filed with the ATFClearent began holding cust

For quite some time, my businesses were utilizing Clearent for credit card processing servicesHowever, I have since switched over to a much more reputable, transparent and fair direct processor within the industryDuring my time with Clearent, I did not receive adequate customer service or up-to-date industry standard EMV equipmentMy new processor was able to provide me EMV equipment at both locations, free of charge, among many other things which led to a much more valuable product
Letters were sent to Clearent on behalf of my businesses notifying them of my recent change and requesting that cancellation fees be waived where no response was receivedThese fees should be waived since they did not live up to their contract by providing me with adequate customer service or EMV equipmentAlso, I would like a refund of the monthly junk fees that were continued to be charged to me after ending my service with Clearent

I signed up with Clearent Credit Card Processing through one of their independent agents in VirginiaWhen I signed up my business was new and I did not want to be under contract since I was shopping for a point of sale system that may or may not function with Clearent ProcessingThe agent of Clearent promised me that she had the authority to end my agreement at any time and that I did not need to worry about the contract termI signed up and when I landed on a new point of sale I changed credit card processors to another companyI was charged an early termination fee of $and the company failed to work with me on their agreement to waive the fee
They initially refunded this to my bank account, but took it out again a month later and said they would not be refunding itI have a written statement from the representative that made the agreement stating that I would not incur a early termination fee

Horrible company - would not help with customer lying about fraud - had their signature, copy of their ID, and them on video - *** said too bad Stay away from Clearent, they will RIP YOU OFF!

After signing an agreement with *** (which was purchased by Clearent in 2017), I was sent an agreement which stated no termination feesAfter cancelling my agreement in May 2017, my bank account was debited $in January for a Clearent termination feeI was told that I failed to return their "Mobile Card Reader" upon the termination of my agreementAt no point was the mobile card reader requested, nor was any shipping information provided when I terminated my agreementSpecifically, my contract states "No Early Termination Fee," which should include any fees that Clearent/*** come up with regardless

Dear ***, We apologize for this miscommunication and inconvenience it has caused you! We have refunded $to your accountPlease reach out to us with any questions*** Best regards, The Clearent Team

I began business with them in Dec and I receive a monthly billThey provide services allowing me, as a merchant, to process customer paymentsThey have billed me an additional fee of $monthly on my account in addition the the monthly fee of $on one and $on the other stating that my site was not compliantI have tried to contact them multiple times to make sure my site is compliantEach time they send me to their compliance department and they say everything is fineI was forced to email their accounting department on 11/23/and on 11/26/I received a response stating that they would put my concern in queue to be resolvedI have yet to receive a response regarding the issueI contacted them today and they stated I would not hear anything back until the end of FebruaryI requested my account be closed and contacted my bank to stop payments

I applied for their credit card processing serviceAfter weeks of waiting and no responseI was told the application was in underwritingI signed up for another serviceAfter no response for over weeks Clearent called to set up my card reader that I never receivedI asked for my account/service to be cancelledWas told they would pass alongAfter months of debits from my account I calledWould spend minutes on holdLeft message to return call and never didI finally got thru in AugustAfter minutes on hold with account closing department they lady said that she would email closures and take care of itIn Sept had funds removed from my account againCalled and talked to gentleman on 9-11-I was put thru to closures and emailed closing formI now have $debited from my account for early termination feeThe application I filled out said no early termination feeI called customer service and asked for supervisor and was hung up on

I have tried since yesterday afternoon to close my account and subsequent services with Clearent I have been on the phone with multiple different individuals in the company, left multiple different messages, numerous times I have followed the option for a call back "keeping my place in cue" with no call back I am a very patient person, but even the IRS is more responsive with better customer service If anything this "run around" to try to connect to that one magic individual who can cancel my service has more than validated my choice to leave this company

As of 5/17/2016, Clearent has not receive notification from *** *** *** *** *** nor their sales Office Veteran Payment Systems. Last processing date for this merchant is March 30, 2016. Merchant has been billed March interchange and fees, and April (see statements attached).
Clearent has not charged this merchant and Early Termination Fee. To prevent any additional monthly fees, merchant needs to contact Veteran Payment Systems and request account to be closed
