scam phone call from company clearview mediation wanting money to settle a debt I do not have . phone # *** . threatened court action .

THIS COMPANY CALLED ME AND IDENTIED AS WORKING FOR AN ATTORNEY AS A MEDIATOR . SHE SAID I WAS BEING SUED OVER A 12 YEAR OLD DEBT THAT THEY ACQUIRED. SHE REFUSED TO GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION OTHER THAN TO SAY THAT I HAD A LOAN FROM A BANK - I HAD A CREDIT CARD THAT WAS CHARGED OFF 12 YEARS AGO.
I ASKED FOR THE ATTORNEYS NAME, THE COMPANY ADDRESS, AND TOLD HER THAT I HAD SOMEONE ON THE LINE TO VERIFY THE CALL. SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION FROM THIS COMPANY OR ANY OTHER ALTHOUGH SHE SAID I HAD BEEN CONTACTED BY MANY COLLECTION AGENCIES. STATUTE FOR SUIT IN TEXAS IS 4 YEARS

I have recently been contacted by this collection agency. They are claiming I have a debt that was listed as "non-collectable" from FCNB SPIEGEL.They are threatening to report me to the *** and sue me in Federal Court. I have no knowledge of this debt do not owe this debt.

We were recently scammed out of $618.58 over the phone by a representative ((***) from Clearview Mediation 3/12/20. They had my former name and the last four digits of my social security by which they threatened my arrest, my credit, and higher charges of over $1,300.00 if I did not pay a supposed debt from 2009 off immediately and sign paperwork. I was worried about losing my job over an arrest, so I gave into their demands and paid by debit card over the phone then signed the document they emailed over. The debt was illegitimate. I immediately got in contact with my former bank the next morning and they agreed that I had fully paid off any debt I had with them. I also have two documents witnessed being signed by two people, other than myself, that prove I paid all debt from that bank 7/25/12 before closing my account with them. This was also the first time hearing about this supposed debt and it has never shown up on any credit reporting websites we've seen. The account number Clearview Mediation gave didn't even match the one I had with said bank. In addition, the Revdex.com lists Clearview Mediation having only been open since 1/23/2020. They've also been accused of another 2009 "Advance Fee Loan Scam" on Revdex.com Scam Tracker 2/20/20. On another note, the call may not have not been about COVID-19 but I find it highly suspicious that they would wait until the peak of an epidemic to bring up accusations of debt from 2009. I sent them a dispute over email 3/20/20. While writing this complaint the same representative from before called saying that they are going to refund us. But I'm not fully convinced they are actually going to honor this; especially since they contacted me by phone (which doesn't leave a paper trail) and wasn't the last format of communication used. All-in-all, I believe that Clearview Mediation is just a scam charading as a collection agency and the fact that a "business" like this would try to incite fear during a time of pandemic is disgusting.

I was told thatI was being sued for a past Bill that I had paid off. Said I had left a balance of 1500 dollars. I contacted *** and they said that the bill was paid in full in 2012. And that they didn’t sell my contract to anyone. They called me early in the morning woke me up, and said they were willing to settle for $ 800 . Once I woke up and got my thoughts together I realized that I should not have paid them because I did not owe ***. After talking to ***, they said they had not idea who the company was. I am disputing the charge on my credit card. I doubt that I will get my money back. If *** did not sell information about my account which was paid in full in 2012. Why are they threatening to take me to court. I would like to see something in writing showing that I owed $1500 dollars to ***. *** are in the process of sending me documentation showing that I don’t owe them anything.

I received a call from them attempting to collect a debt. They did not validate the debt at all, and had some of my information that was not correct ie social birthday etc. They by law have to validate the debt and they can not do that. They told me the name of the supposed creditor I called them and they have nothing in there system on me. All I wanted was who the debt was with and they did not furnish that info to be exact she stated I can not tell you that you have to go to court to find out who the creditor is. Mind you I also field bankruptcy years ago and have not accumulated any debt since.

I keep getting calls from this company for my wife about a debt that she has settled long before I met her. I have asked repeatedly for my number to be removed from their system. Each time, I am hung up on by their staff. Most recently I was contacted by Christina V from their office and told that I cannot be given any details about the reason for the call and was hung up on when I asked why my number was not removed. I called the number provided and was hung up again when their operator answered after asking about my number being removed. I have no relationship with this company. They are employing spoofing for caller ID and their number comes up different each time. The calls need to stop immediately.
