Response to the [redacted] complaint:Clearwater Homes has great respect and concern for all the fine people who live in the homes we buildAs such we go the extra mile to communicate and consider warranty issues that inevitably arise as part of the new construction processThe Revdex.com complaint filed by [redacted] represents the first Revdex.com complaint we have received as an organizationAs such we take the matter very seriouslyThat being said there are a number of factual inaccuracies and misconceptions included in the said complaint:Entrance lights to the communityThe subject community has almost lotsClearwater Homes is one of five home builder that purchased finished lots from the Master DeveloperClearwater Homes was not as the developer/Master developer as the complaint statedInfrastructure pertaining to the common area, utilities, and roads is typically the responsibility of the master developerIn the case of Fairfield Meadows, the master developer did not install an electrical service or meter for the Front entrance off of Fairfield roadGiven the above facts, the assertion that Clearwater homes (one of five builders in Fairfield Meadows) is responsible for the lights at the front entrance to the community is simply misguidedThat being said, rather than the community endeavoring to install an expensive electrical meter, Clearwater, in good faith, will work with the Community HOA to install solar coach lights at the entrance which will function well and not require a full service electrical meterClearwater Homes will bear the cost of the said solar coach lightsWhile the front entrance lights are by no means our responsibility, we will proceed as stated above in order to support the entire community, inclusive of the families who don’t live in Clearwater Homes.Cold StorageMrs [redacted] s complaint here is surprisingWe have no record of any communication on the matter with exception of Mrs [redacted] having a brief discussion with our VP of operations when she found him eating at local restaurantThere is no formal request to repair via email, phone, or written letterHad Clearwater been formally notified that the buyer was seeking warranty work within the warranty period, the matter would have been resolved. It is important to note that the function of a cold storage has many variables involvedThe height that a house is set above grade, the position of the cold storage wall in relation to the arc of the sun, the soil type under the cold storage, the engineered thickness of the concrete that the front porch and cold storage, and many other site conditions effect the thermal value of the cold storage area.In Mrs [redacted] ’s case, in good faith, we will schedule a site visit to diagnose the problem and propose a repair at our costIn most cold storage moisture situations, a vent can be core drilled and a screen installed in order to facilitate air exchange.Rough Plumbing for the water softenerWhen a buyer designs and orders a finished basement, there is a category in the paperwork specifically for “Soft Water Plumbing Rough in”In review of the paperwork/order related to the [redacted] finished basement, the Soft Water plumbing rough in” was not selected or paid for as part of the jobIt is unfortunate that Mrs [redacted] misunderstood that this item was not standard and proceeded not to specifically order and pay for the work to be done as part of the construction processMicah *P***

Response to the [redacted] complaint:Clearwater Homes has great respect and concern for all the fine people who live in the homes we build. As such we go the extra mile to communicate and consider warranty issues that inevitably arise as part of the new construction process. The Revdex.com complaint...

filed by [redacted] represents the first Revdex.com complaint we have received as an organization. As such we take the matter very seriously. That being said there are a number of factual inaccuracies and misconceptions included in the said complaint:Entrance lights to the communityThe subject community has almost 200 lots. Clearwater Homes is one of five home builder that purchased finished lots from the Master Developer. Clearwater Homes was not as the developer/Master developer as the complaint stated. Infrastructure pertaining to the common area, utilities, and roads is typically the responsibility of the master developer. In the case of Fairfield Meadows, the master developer did not install an electrical service or meter for the Front entrance off of Fairfield road. Given the above facts, the assertion that Clearwater homes (one of five builders in Fairfield Meadows) is responsible for the lights at the front entrance to the community is simply misguided. That being said, rather than the community endeavoring to install an expensive electrical meter, Clearwater, in good faith, will work with the Community HOA to install solar coach lights at the entrance which will function well and not require a full service electrical meter. Clearwater Homes will bear the cost of the said solar coach lights. While the front entrance lights are by no means our responsibility, we will proceed as stated above in order to support the entire community, inclusive of the families who don’t live in Clearwater Homes.Cold StorageMrs. [redacted]s complaint here is surprising. We have no record of any communication on the matter with exception of Mrs. [redacted] having a brief discussion with our VP of operations when she found him eating at local restaurant. There is no formal request to repair via email, phone, or written letter. Had Clearwater been formally notified that the buyer was seeking warranty work within the warranty period, the matter would have been resolved. It is important to note that the function of a cold storage has many variables involved. The height that a house is set above grade, the position of the cold storage wall in relation to the arc of the sun, the soil type under the cold storage, the engineered thickness of the concrete that the front porch and cold storage, and many other site conditions effect the thermal value of the cold storage area.In Mrs. [redacted]’s case, in good faith, we will schedule a site visit to diagnose the problem and propose a repair at our cost. In most cold storage moisture situations, a vent can be core drilled and  a screen installed in order to facilitate air exchange.Rough Plumbing for the water softenerWhen a buyer designs and orders a finished basement, there is a category in the paperwork specifically for “Soft Water Plumbing Rough in”. In review of the paperwork/order related to the [redacted] finished basement, the Soft Water plumbing rough in” was not selected or paid for as part of the job. It is unfortunate that Mrs. [redacted] misunderstood that this item was not standard and proceeded not to specifically order and pay for the work to be done as part of the construction process. Micah *.
