I have had a Clearwater spa for over ten years. The company owners and employees are knowledgeable and responsive Not the cheapest company, but they are great and stand behind their work and products

Poor. Business does not take responsibility for their fault of improper installations and does not make things right when using an outside contractor for their liners. We have had 3 years of pool interruption because of Clearwater Pools not wanting to make it right. Original liner was fine until under their advice to dump multiple chemicals in the pool. Then it are thru the liner causing us to get another liner. Paid for a new liner and water - all ok until 9 months later- YEAR 2 opened pool and liner was pealing in to the water. Fought that battle for months until they finally agreed to had the liner company put in a new liner BUT WE HAD TO PAY FOR ALL THE WATER AGAIN. Soon after like days we noticed pool was leaking. Company came out and said no leak that the pump was leaking. At their advice it was the end of year so close pool and put in new pump beginning of next year. YEAR 3 - opened pool - liner had detached and fallen in the deep end of the pool. Put on new pump - once again leaking. FILLED WATER again as only 1/2 leaked out but Clearwater could not explain. Water guy pointed out leak at the light not attached flush with the wall. Company to this day has not made sure or taken responsibility for proper installation of pool. We will have our day.

Review: Called this company to have our spa's pump diagnosed. They came out, spent 10 minutes, said they could not help me, slapped us with a bill for $155 and left. I tried to talk with the owner. He insisted he told me the trip charge was $155 regardless if he did anything or not. He did not tell me that or I would have shopped around. As it turns out his competition charges $45 for a trip charge. He did NOT INFORM ME of a trip charge for so much money, or I would have definitely remembered and questioned!Desired Settlement: He sent 3 guys to diagnose one pump. That should be on him. One guy should be paid for a trip charge...One third of the bill. $50.

Business

Response:

Clearwater Pool Service tells every customer that request pool or spa service, that our minimum diagnostic fee is $ 155.00. This customer waited 3-4 weeks to have us come out to diagnose her spa. She indicated that she had a leak, and was told at the time that if the leak was not in the equipment area, we could not help her sincer her hot tub was built into the deck.

Upon arrival, we took off the equipment door and started the hot tub. Water was spraying everywhere due to freeze damage. I talked to her by phone and by text messages and I was specific about what our diagnostic fee would be. Her husband signed the ticket and offered to pay cash but our technicians did not have change at that time.

If the payment is not paid within 10 days we will turn it over to collections.

Sincerely,

[redacted], President
