Review: My daughter was seen by the Dentist on May 2, 2014 because her permanent teeth was growing in the back of her baby teeth. Due to this concern, I had the dentist to look at her teeth which he did. After looking at her teeth, he determined that the teeth were loose but he would pull her teeth. He was extremely busy that day and that I would have to come at a later time to have the teeth removed. I proceeded to the scheduling desk and I scheduled the appointment for 5/23/2014. At that time, I was told that in order to get on the books, I would have to hold a spot with a payment. I wrote out a postdated check in the amount of $218.75. On 5/15/2014, I called and cancelled the appointment since my daughter's teeth had fallen out. Despite me cancelling the appointment, they still cashed the check for a service I never received. I called and spoke with [redacted] at the office and her and another woman by the name of [redacted] told me that they would be issuing me a refund and they did. However, it was in the amount of $108.00. I explained to them the amount they was withdrawn from my account and I needed the entire amount. They told me that I had a previous balance and a bill out to the insurance company for the 5/2/14 visit. I asked them to give me a breakdown of the bill for the 5/2/14 visit because literally he looked at my daughter. She refused to do so. I explained that I should have been giving the opportunity to set up payment arrangements and should be refunded the entire amount withdrawn from my account because the purpose of that check was not intended to pay for the service on 5/2/14. Furthermore, I was never billed for that service. I was told that I would not get any more money refunded. Totally unprofessional.Desired Settlement: A total of $110.00 refunded back to me so to equal the $218.75 that was withdrawn from my account. They cashed the check supposedly in error because the appointment was cancelled that day so they should refund me the total amount that was withdrawn from my account because the purpose of the check was to pay for a service I was scheduled to receive on 5/23/14. I did not receive any service and the check should have never been cashed.
