Mr. Jim S[redacted] does not play by the rules that most of society conforms to. He runs a seemingly good business from the outside. However, he is very good at using his apparent smooth-talking to get families in to contracts that they have a very hard time getting out of or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, he has removed several good families from his business because of issues that do not relate at all to the children entrusted to him. My own children were kicked out of his dojang one week before my oldest was to test for her black belt. Even worse, Mr. S[redacted] waited until very late Friday afternoon to let us know that we needed to find childcare for the following Monday. He was often in violation of the contract we had in place for providing after-school care services for my children but, worst of all, did not use any kind of respect or consideration in contacting us last-minute. After spending nearly six years patronizing his facility, we also found out that the belt ranks he awards his students at testing are not even valid. The certificates state that they are granted by the [redacted] but Mr. S[redacted] is not even a member and my children's hard-earned belts are not being recognized at any other local school. Please be aware that he is not affiliated with any issuing organization and this is very much like earning a college degree from a university that has gone out of business. This is a travesty to my young children who admired and tried to learn from an individual whose only intentions was to grow his business. I urge you to consider other locations before choosing Clermont Family Martial Arts Center!
