put an additional burden on myself. I did not tell Ron about this complaint because I didn’t want to further irritate his situation.Apparently Mr. [redacted] has a short memory. We advised him of every step along the way and the additional cost associated with the additional work. I have sent you pictures posted on my Google Plus account to show you the extent of some of the work. The “LEAK” that he mentions that needed to be located and repaired resulted in the complete reconstruction of that porch. Then he was advised about the condition of the 4 columns on that porch which needed to be rebuilt and the cost and lastly the entire thing needed a new roof which we told him along with the associated cost. The pictures speak for themselves. The original “ESTIMATE” was to address the issues listed in the EIFS moisture report. Lastly, Mr. [redacted] realized a $200,000. Savings on the negotiation of the price of the house which was listed at $850K as I recall because of the problems that were listed in the report. I have also added a list of the time for this project that has been paid in full by this company. [redacted], I reviewed the latest response from [redacted] and my response is that we obtained the stone that was the closest match but were up against a size issue and without cutting stones to try to fit the area where old stone was removed we chose to work with the joint size. Since the exact stone was not available, the only alternative was to change the size of the mortar joint, either larger or smaller so the same issue would have been either way. The flashing was installed as per manufacturers recommendations, neither seller or buyer were present when flashing was installed. As you can see by the photos we took, the wall does not look that bad. The old stone and mortar were discolored by age, thus the new white mortar stands out. The rock face of the stone is slightly different but hardly noticeable looking from a slight distance. The lien was filed because of the owners insistence to try to negotiate the contract after the fact. There was a signed contract and after a persistent conversation with the owner (June 19, 2017 at Noon) it was my only option but to file the lien on the property. While it may seem a little excessive, it was that or not get paid since the house was ready to transfer.Final Conversation with the owner prompting lien filing.I'm not being difficult.  I said you needed to change the Estimate once your guys determined the scope of work was not what you quoted.  I can't help it you did not show up at the job site once.  It takes about an hour from mentor.  They showed up 6 days.  I could add 12 more hours to the billable hours.  What is the billable rate per hour.  Your competitors quote was 58.15 per hour. MY RESPONSE: What does my hourly rate have to do with the other guy? You should have hired the other guy. BTW, he's a convicted felon. I did this work in good faith, put the crew together and you should have been happy with that. I Charge $110 for the crew plus material and overhead of 35%.OWNER RESPONSE: I had my builder put together a material list for the job and he was under $500.  75 total man hours not including smoke breaks and lunches.  At 60 dollars per hour comes to $4500.  I have no problem paying you the extra 1100.  Which would be the difference between my down payment and the real amount you charge for your guys.  Remember my realtor had you give him an estimate for a caulk job on his home and you came in at $1100.  I'm sorry your a criminal trying to charge me 7800 for the same job.  I’m finished with this issue and don’t want any more communication regarding this complaint. We did the work as outlined whether they think so or not. I’ve attached the link to pictures that we took for your review and the voice message from [redacted] on May 24th regarding the quote.[redacted] In closing I only want to say I have a few regrets regarding this project, biggest is actually agreeing to do the job. We have been in business for 40 years, I am a disabled Army veteran and have health issues that prevent me from doing things I did when I was a younger man. You can count the complaints against my company on one hand during that time period. I’m sorry [redacted] and the owner were not happy with the outcome but I have done all I can do. Unfortunately, this was a bad experience for all concerned parties. The seller was very difficult to deal with at the end of service. He decided that we were charging too much for what we did but was completed via contract. The stone work referenced in the complaint was completed as per the...

agreement. Unfortunately, the stone had to be removed and the replacement stone did not match completely since the original was out of production. The seller approved the replacement stone and the final work. We had initially wanted to see if we could appease the buyer in a solution to this situation but vulgar and slanderous comments will force us to bow out of the situation.
