Business responded to complaint.I am responding to your received complaint from Mr***nt [redacted] Sorry for the delay but when this was received my associate had become seriously ill and had to be taken in to the hospital for emergency treatment and he is still hospitalized in the ICUThis put an additional burden on myselfI did not tell Ron about this complaint because I didn’t want to further irritate his situation.Apparently Mr [redacted] has a short memoryWe advised him of every step along the way and the additional cost associated with the additional workI have sent you pictures posted on my Google Plus account to show you the extent of some of the workThe “LEAK” that he mentions that needed to be located and repaired resulted in the complete reconstruction of that porchThen he was advised about the condition of the columns on that porch which needed to be rebuilt and the cost and lastly the entire thing needed a new roof which we told him along with the associated costThe pictures speak for themselvesThe original “ESTIMATE” was to address the issues listed in the EIFS moisture reportLastly, Mr [redacted] realized a $200,Savings on the negotiation of the price of the house which was listed at $850K as I recall because of the problems that were listed in the reportI have also added a list of the time for this project that has been paid in full by this companyThe roofer has not been paid and has been advised my us to file a lien on the propertyregards, Ed B*** WWW.CCCR.BIZ Since

[redacted] , I reviewed the latest response from [redacted] and my response is that we obtained the stone that was the closest match but were up against a size issue and without cutting stones to try to fit the area where old stone was removed we chose to work with the joint sizeSince the exact stone was not available, the only alternative was to change the size of the mortar joint, either larger or smaller so the same issue would have been either wayThe flashing was installed as per manufacturers recommendations, neither seller or buyer were present when flashing was installedAs you can see by the photos we took, the wall does not look that badThe old stone and mortar were discolored by age, thus the new white mortar stands outThe rock face of the stone is slightly different but hardly noticeable looking from a slight distanceThe lien was filed because of the owners insistence to try to negotiate the contract after the factThere was a signed contract and after a persistent conversation with the owner (June 19, at Noon) it was my only option but to file the lien on the propertyWhile it may seem a little excessive, it was that or not get paid since the house was ready to transfer.Final Conversation with the owner prompting lien filing.I'm not being difficult I said you needed to change the Estimate once your guys determined the scope of work was not what you quoted I can't help it you did not show up at the job site once It takes about an hour from mentor They showed up days I could add more hours to the billable hours What is the billable rate per hour Your competitors quote was per hourMY RESPONSE: What does my hourly rate have to do with the other guy? You should have hired the other guyBTW, he's a convicted felonI did this work in good faith, put the crew together and you should have been happy with thatI Charge $for the crew plus material and overhead of 35%.OWNER RESPONSE: I had my builder put together a material list for the job and he was under $ total man hours not including smoke breaks and lunches At dollars per hour comes to $ I have no problem paying you the extra Which would be the difference between my down payment and the real amount you charge for your guys Remember my realtor had you give him an estimate for a caulk job on his home and you came in at $ I'm sorry your a criminal trying to charge me for the same job I’m finished with this issue and don’t want any more communication regarding this complaintWe did the work as outlined whether they think so or notI’ve attached the link to pictures that we took for your review and the voice message from [redacted] on May 24th regarding the quote[redacted] In closing I only want to say I have a few regrets regarding this project, biggest is actually agreeing to do the jobWe have been in business for years, I am a disabled Army veteran and have health issues that prevent me from doing things I did when I was a younger manYou can count the complaints against my company on one hand during that time periodI’m sorry [redacted] and the owner were not happy with the outcome but I have done all I can doI only hope that all the slanderous comments made by [redacted] don’t come back to haunt him [redacted] is associated with the [redacted] Church and would expect better from himEd B***

Unfortunately, this was a bad experience for all concerned partiesThe seller was very difficult to deal with at the end of serviceHe decided that we were charging too much for what we did but was completed via contractThe stone work referenced in the complaint was completed as per the agreementUnfortunately, the stone had to be removed and the replacement stone did not match completely since the original was out of productionThe seller approved the replacement stone and the final workWe had initially wanted to see if we could appease the buyer in a solution to this situation but vulgar and slanderous comments will force us to bow out of the situation
