Click Construction

Review: I originally used Click Construction LLC (in Feb 2014) to complete a partial bathroom remodel. This included a demo of the existing tub, inserting a new tub, tile/grout, and minor touch-up work. Generally, I was happy with the services however I did have one issue in which the new shower faucet wasn't properly tightened causing a stream of water to flow from behind the seal. Click Construction was responsive and came by the next day to fix it. After completion of the work there were no further noticeable issues but to my surprise,I was mistaken. On Tuesday, July 8th, less than 5 months after completion of the remodel, I woke to find a huge break in my living room ceiling, leaking water onto our furniture and flooring. At that time, my first reaction was to call a certified, 24/7, local plumbing service that could quickly find and repair the issue. My first reaction WAS NOT to assume that the leak was related to the work performed by Click Construction. After the plumbing company performed a "leak search", they determined the leak was caused by a punctured pipe due to a nail from a baseboard behind the toilet. This baseboard was removed, cut to size, and nailed back by Click Construction during the bathroom remodel. I immediately contacted Alan G[redacted] (Owner of Click Construction LLC) to inform him of the issue and provided the current status and asked him about the one-year warranty coverage. Rather than honoring the one-year warranty as part of our contract, Mr. G[redacted] went on to blame me for not contacting him first, prior to the plumbing company even though we needed an emergency fix at 7AM and Click Construction does not open until 9AM. After going back and forth with Mr. G[redacted] by phone and email regarding the warranty, providing him with the final plumbing bill and pictures of the damage done, he has refused to honor the warranty by stating "best of luck" to us through email. He has yet to return my phone calls after several attempts and voicemails left.Desired Settlement: I would like the following bills covered: Plumbing Leak Search and Fix $737.40, Drywall $400, Rug Cleaning $90, Supplies for fixes $62.28. In sum, I am looking for Mr. G[redacted] to honor his one-year warranty for services and workmanship rendered by settling to pay a total of $1,286.68 for the damages that I have incurred due his employee's negligence.
