Below is my version of the problem that led up to the [redacted] complaint.I was initially contacted by the [redacted] because they had used round up to kill weeds in their yardUnfortunately they didn't read the directions and they killed not only the weeds but also the grass Approximately six weeks after the sod was installed I was called by the [redacted] because of dead spots in their backyard.I agreed to look at the yard; although I said there was no guarantee on the sod other then it would be weed free and healthy when installedUpon inspections I saw that the front and side yard looked very healthyThe backyard did have random brown spotsNo gaps appeared between the pieces of sod I was told that initially the sod appeared to be very healthy and later after a couple of mowings developed yellow/brown spotsI told them I suspected it was a watering problemPerhaps watering in the evening causing a fungus problemIt was their opinion it couldn't have been a watering problem(When I completed the installation of the sod I provided them with instructions on how to water their yardThese instructions warned about watering in the evening, as that might cause the yard to develop a fungus.) After that things went down hillThey wanted a definite reason as why the sod had turned color and for me to assume responsibilityI told them I wasn't as expert on lawn problems and was unwilling to assume responsibility for something (in my opinion) wasn't my faultRemember both parties agreed that the sod was healthy when installed and only developed problems weeks laterI suggested they contact an expert on lawn problem such as the Minnesota Extension officeI attempted to work out a solution; replace the dead areas, redo the back yard etcbut I said we needed to share the cost and put in writing that the cause of the problem wasn't my faultEventually they said they would file a complaint with the Revdex.com and write a negative review on Angies list if I didn't fix the itAttempts to resolve the problem ended at that point.I sincerely wish this could have been resolved in a peaceful mannerUnfortunately I'm left with a bad review and they are left with unresolved problems n their backyard.I would still like to try and resolved the problemI would be willing to give the [redacted] a check for $(while maintaining I had no responsibility for the problem) if they would retract their review of my business on Angies list and if both parties signed an agreement that we would not talk about this problem or its resolution with anyone.Cliffs SodCliff ***

Something went terribly wrong with the newly installed sodUpon contacting the business about it, we had to deal with a lot of unpleasant issuesWe were faced with unfounded accusations, complete denial of responsibility, lack of competence, straight up rudeness, changing explanations (three times), backing out of promises (also three times), tons of attitude, and zero help
We have hired Cliff to install new sod in our yarding mid-JulyHis estimate was for just the front yard, and for front and back yardsWe went for both front and back
We have been taking care of the lawn, following Cliff’s watering instructions to a TThis can be proved both by our neighbors and by our water billThe lawn in the front yard turned out niceHowever, the back yard turned out to be very problematicFirst, a big portion of it (about 1/of the entire lawn, distributed along the edge) was not setting weeks after installation and eventually died offBut much more importantly,
