MrH*** is mistaken in that the model number he supplied in his complaint requires a condensing unit for cooling The condensing unit is the heart of the system, containing the compressor, motor(s) and components The condensers are typically located on the roof, which after
reviewing aerial photos, appears to be the case at MrH***'s home, The intent of the *** *** *** preseason service is to entice home owners to have their HVAC serviced so it operates in the most efficient manner possible during the high electrical peak summer usage The goal of the preventative service is to identify operation issues, alert the customer, get authorization and perform repairs needed This is preventative service to help ensure the system operates efficiently, while avoiding the potential of catastrophic failure due to deferred maintenance The request for a refund is unreasonable

It appears from blurry aerial photos there is a condenser on the roof of the building and upon further review of the AC literature I overlooked where it says it connects to one.  You are still however price gouging and charging over 10x average retail price for a capacitor and your tech was at my place for maybe 10 minutes.  I don’t know if your guy even did anything because I’ve never had any issues with my air conditioner whatsoever.  The most expensive AC capacitor I found doing a quick search online is $42.60.  A majority of them are under $20.  I’ll pay you the retail price for the most expensive one plus the service fee of $29.95.  $42.60 + $29.95 is $72.55.  I’ll pay you that amount but I want a refund of $265.40 because your prices are unreasonable and nothing needed to be fixed in the first place.
