Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/06) */
We were never contacted about this issueThe equipment was properly installed and worked flawlessly for over a yearIf the TXV was installed incorrectly then the system would have never operated properly from the beginningWe installed a
secondary drain line for the backupIt sounds like you had a clogged drain, which is what could have caused the overflow of water from the drain panIf we would have been contacted about this issue then we would have been out the same day to address the problemWe never received anything from the consumer but I do apologize for the issues that you hadPlease contact us next time you have a problem and we will gladly address it! Thanks
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The Business response is inaccurate at bestThe statement that the system performed flawlessly for over a year is wrong: approximately months after it was installed it quit heatingI called the business owner and scheduled a day for him to come look at the system - taking leave time from work - and he never showedMy wife finally was able to get in touch with him to come look at the problem, and he found that a wire in was not attached properly causing the problemAnd this is a system he installed, so he is the one that didn't wire it properly
With regard to most recent issue, his statement that the drain was clogged is also false; the water never made it to the drain because the source of the water were the coils that alternatively froze and thawed (due to improper TXV sensor installation) creating the water problemKeep in mind, I have pictures of thisHis statement that he "never received anything from the customer" is nothing but a lie; I talked to him on the phone (phone records as proof) and my wife tried to call him as wellHe told me he would schedule a time to look at the system and never called back
Finally, his statement that the TXV sensor was installed properly, because if it wasn't the system wouldn't run properly, is also false: the system would operate but not operate correctlyIt would blow cool air but we could never get the temp below as the sensor was not reading correctlyThe sensor was simply wrapped in the insulation material next to the coolant line, instead of attached via a bracket as it should have beenKeep in mind these issues are not casual observations on my part; I had a professional HVAC company come out and do a full inspection of the system to tell me what was wrongI have all their documentation - and pictures - that detail the shoddy workI am now out the cost of that service call + the cost to replace a ruined floor in the adjoining hallway due to this firm's incompetenceI don't even want any sort of compensation for the damages resulting from the firm's mistakes; I just feel others should be aware that this company does not stand behind their work and if they purchase a system from them they should be prepared to have another, competent firm, fix their installation
