My delership has had my car for almost 3 months. It still hasn't been fixed yet.
My dealership Clint Compton Motors in Albertville Alabama has had my car for nearly 3 months and it still has not been fixed yet. The main person I talk to their is named *** and he said a couple weeks ago that I could find a motor for my car the part in question that needs fixed. But when I called in today and told him I found a motor he said he wouldn't use it because it's not one he likes so I asked to speak with the owner of the dealership and he got mad. He said that if we wanted to use a motor that we found that we would just need to go to the shop that my car is sitting at and pick it up and put the motor in myself.
the money i have paid so far to be refunded to me.
a few months back was contacted by said customer who has his vehicle financed with us keep in mind here in Alabama he up an moves to Litchfield Illinois he tells me his motor goes out there he has it fixed at mechanic shop there said was nearly $ 2000.00 he paid that didn't last no time he blows the motor up again the mechanic wouldn't fix it or give him his money back . so he calls me an wont's to know if I can find him a motor I told him an keep this in mind the word (TRY) so he has the car sent back down to ALABAMA I let a mechanic I know look at it to be sure he had blew the engine an he did it was knocking . so just trying to help this typical 21 year old kid I looked for several months what I found was really high miles or out of the state so he calls me said he found one at a wrecker service I called they wouldn't warranty the motor at all an was why was cheap at $ 650.00 so here how that would have went if I had bought a motor for *** for $ 650.00 then the mechanic charged him $ 550.00 to install does anybody in the world think that 21 year old know it all kid would pay for the motor or labor and it not running the answer is NO NO and NO XS1000 times his words would have been I'm not paying for that I cant drive it. He said I got mad when he ask for the owner I didn't I've been the manager here 15 years I take care of the any an all day to day business . an he was right on one thing I did tell him to come get his car and find him a motor himself . since he wrote his side of this complaint and anyone who reads my side will see that he s a 21 year old kid who thinks the world owes him and bow down to there wishes I'm not one them people I've been here at this car lot 15 years and have never did anything but try and sell good cars and have repeat customers.
Update 2/23/2018. I *** Carney would like my desired resolution for this complaint to be updated to to just be let out of the contract instead of getting refunded.
The place I found the motor from told me it came with a warrenty. Every time I asked philip/ clint compton motors if he had goton ahold of them he said no. If he would have told me that I would have tried to find a different one. And if it did turn out to be a bad motor I found then I would have paid for it because it would have been my mistake. Contrarty to what philip said this world dosnt owe me anything.iv worked to get everything I have.thats all ive done since I was 15 years old.
About the whole me up and moving to litchfield illinois. Phillip and I had a verbal agreement before I move. I made a $1500 payment befor I left. Thets roughly 5.5 months of payments I was ahead on.
