I tried to sign up a family member for a birthday certificate approximately a week before the birthday but, after a couple of times trying, the website still wouldn't put it through It said that the email was wrong or that the person I was signing up had already used itI checked with that person and he said not only had he not used one, he never received one and wasn't aware of Benihana Chef Table I contacted the customer service and explained to them the problem, they responded by requesting the email addressI gave it to themBy the time they got back to me the birthday date had passed and their response was they don't honor past birthdays I called and talked to them by phone and the response was the same They obviously had technical difficulties with their website but they would not acknowledge itThey said to wait until next yearThis is unacceptable! Afterwards the sent a Father's Day promotion to me to which my response was no and don't send me opportunities to spend money with them when I can't get a birthday meal for my family member so they agreed to drop me from all promotions, including Chef's TableThey were politely rude and this has been resolved

Used to have lunch at the Benihana's in downtown Cincinnati several times a year and always enjoyed it - You would always be in & out within a hour - Not with this Benihana's - Had lunch their twice within the last month and on both visits lunch was hour minutes - That is crazy - They do not know how to get a lunch crowd in & out quickly - There was also a minute gap between the time when our server check on us after our food was done - Lastly the restaurant needs an update badly
