While the complaint is correct in regard to the consignment agreement, that is where it ends. [redacted] called and asked her books to be sent back at the end of a consignement agreement. I explained we do not cover the cost of returning the books, that she would have to cover the cost of return....

What arrived for return was a box the size typically used for moving (12" high, 18" in length, and 12" wide), this to ship four books measuring no more than a typical trade paperback. As for the cost. Had [redacted] done her homework, she could have found meida Mail via the [redacted] would have been about $3.00. To complicate it, it was the height of the holiday season and the box, being so large and empty was most likely broken down and recycled in error. When [redacted] called, I apologized, explained it was very busy due to the holiday and would send the books immediately. Clearly, this is not what she wanted to hear as she hung up on us. I emailed [redacted] for the address, she returned the email, and the books were packaged up and returned media mail and we covered the cost of mailing as it was our error. When [redacted] called and said there was no check (one book sold and [redacted] was owed approx $8.00) I explained it was an oversight and the check was written and would be mailed that day. Again, [redacted] spoke in a highly unprofessional; manner and hung up the phone abruptly. The check was sent media mail and takes just a few days longer to arrive. The books were returned to [redacted] and the check is on its way to [redacted] if it has not already arrived. The Clinton Book Shop does a great deal of business with many entities and we do so in a professional and personal manner.
