Review: Went to this gas station, attendent came to the window I handed him my debit card & said $20 dollars regular. He repeated twice: Twenty? and I said yes. He put the card in the machine, the gas started pumping & then he proceeded to wash my windshield. when he got done I looked at the pump & it was still pumping & up to $40.00 I jumped out of my car & got his attention & he stopped it at $43 dollars and change. I asked him what happened I only wanted $20.(because I had payments set up to be paid with that debit card I would be short in my account to make my scheduled payments) he yelled for someone in the store to come out & they were speaking in another language. The guy appeared to be a manager & said the attendent did not understand me and what could he do to help me. I explained that I asked for $20 and he repeated $20, but he pumped more than $40 in my tank & that it would cause an financial burden to me now because he made my account short. He refused to refund me the difference & said he could call the store manager on the phone & see what he said and started walking away with my debit card. I felt very uneasy about him taking my card. He would not refund me or credit my card. I was on my way to pick up my daughter & could not keep her waiting. SO I took my card & receipt & told him I would never use that gas station again. I feel like it was a scam on me, if I only had a $20 bill on me, they would have had to accept $20 for what I asked or resolve the issue some other way. Because it was my debit card, they just took my money, even though I did not authorize that amount.Desired Settlement: I would love to get a refund of my difference, since it was an un-authorized charge to my card. If I cant get that, I at least want this on record so that other customers are aware of this & can be cautious when using a debit card.
