Review: I have never had such a bad experience with a furniture company. On 10/**/2013 I placed an order with Clinton Furniture for 3 items. A Chest, Sofa and a queen size bed. We settled on a price of $1500 for everything assembled in my apartment. At first I gave him a $500 deposit and the rest at the time of assembly if everything was put together correctly. Well the day came and he had some guy with his 10 year old son assemble my bed. He told me that one of the screws would not fit into the headboard of the bed and that you would have to talk to the owner but at the time they were closed so I had to call the following morning. Now the 2nd problem I ran into was the manager [redacted] at Clinton Furniture told me that the size of the sofa would be 100 inch's across and that was a lie, it was in fact only 83in. So at the end of the day I did not want to pay the balance until we got this problem fixed. So I didn't want the assembly guy to get in trouble I gave him another $500 which left we with a balance of $500. Now what happened the next day was unacceptable. [redacted] was very rude and would not work something out with me. I told him this is not the sofa I ordered and you have to take it back and refund my money. He said he would not do that and he wants the remaining balance of the bill. I refused because the sofa was not what I ordered, I was lied to. And meanwhile his manor of handling the situation was very unprofessional. In regards to the best I told him to either come fix it, replace it or take it back for a full refund. He would not agree to that either. He said give the best back with another $200 and we are even. Why would we be even I tell him. The best was broken why should I loose and the sofa was not what I ordered.Desired Settlement: This is what I want at the end of the day. I want him to take the bed and sofa back and give me full refund on those two items. The Chest cost $300, and everything else was $1200. I already paid him $100 so all I am asking in return is a $700 refund and he can take the best and the sofa back.

Clinton Furniture decided to give back his full deposit of 1000 due to the fact of his refusal for the store to make profit. He wants something for nothing, he find all kinds of excuses to get a merchandise for cost price.

The chest that he wants to keep. He cannot keep it again it cost more than what he wants to give.

Please inform customer that we will pick up ontime merchandise today (11/*/13 at 5:00pm as we delivered it.

We cannot give him back cash. We need a cancelled check for our record.

Check will be available in store 11/*/13.
