Review: Around thanksgiving of 2012 there was no hot water in our apartment complex for about a month and the rental company brought out porta showers for all tenants to shower in. The company gave no compensation or rental discount for any of the tenants for being without water for over a month.This year a couple of day before Thanksgiving our unit had no hot water. I tried many attempts to get help with not having hot water. Calling our leasing office. Calling the maintenance man. I did not get a response until I posted a sign on my window after not having hot water for 20 days, that read "Got hot water? No...no we don't. Not since thanksgiving." That day I came home to a note on my door stating that they would be fixing it. Even still to this day we only get hot water late late into the night and early in the morning (before the sun comes up). Our new leasing agent in the on site office advised me to call a "[redacted]". I attempted to call her about 4-5 times leaving her messages and she never returned my call. Finally I called her and she picked up and I asked her about compensation for their tenants that had no hot water for 21 days. She advised me that there will be no compensation because they feel they did all they could.I don't know if what they did is legal or not. I honestly don't care about compensation. I just would like someone to investigate this leasing company, after doing some research on the internet. It seems they neglect all their properties except their "Cathedral building" in downtown Sacramento, CA.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I would like a percentage back on our rental amount for not having hot water for 21 days. I would more so like this company to be properly investigated to see if they are treating their tenants correctly at all their properties.

This is in response to our resident’s complaint regarding the lack of hot water on Thanksgiving 2013 though her complaints state it was November 2012.

A complaint was received from two of our residents that they were not receiving hot water in their units during that timeframe. Our maintenance team immediately began investigating the scenarios by testing the temperatures in all units. We spent several hours and manpower trying to resolve this issue at the Parc at Del Rio.

Further, we have since then replaced the existing water heater with a newer and larger water heating unit, purchased a water pump/filter, updated faucet valves in some of the units, and conducted water leak detection tests to ensure that our property did not have any undetected leaks under the foundation. After the thorough testing, we found that we did not have a leak issue and have been able to resolve our residents’ formal complaint regarding the lack of hot water in her residence by conducting the necessary steps we have listed above to help ensure that all our residents have continuous hot water.

We have confirmed with all of the residents that there are no longer any interruptions to their hot water.
