Hello,
The customer will be hearing from one of our Managers very soon to discuss in more detailWe believe that reaching out to learn more about this issue and then attempting to rectify the situation would be bestThank you for taking the
time to bring your upset to us
Thank you!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My position here is not just the hybrid battery issue, but the integrity issue of Toyota, which I trust"ed" for a long timeI did not fabricate any single words quoted from your Staff, indicating to me the car is indeed replaced with a brand new hybrid battery, and has guaranteed to me that it would last for the rest of the life time of this carTherefore, your response is so undeniably irresponsible, and even worse, just makes no difference from other dealer with zero credit and trust worthAs a long time customer of toyota, who takes every single word from your employee as a truthful sentence (not information), your response is indeed very destructive to the trust from me and other customersVia Revdex.com, I do hope this would raise the awareness of the Toyota Society, and honestly, this really is a very damaging to the business relationship

Dolan Toyota has been in touch with this guest and has performed the service he requestedWe are truly sorry that he was not pleased with his experience and did not feel that he was taken care of in the way he imagined he would beThe wait
time was also bothersome to him and we are so sorry to have caused that frustration
The customer received the service requested but left the dealership without payment for the serviceHe was scheduled to come in on Friday, 10/27/17, to pay his bill but we have yet to see himWe are hopeful to collect payment soon!

I was refunded my entire
bill from Toyota, not just the $that was owedWhile I I feel my experience was unethical, and even illegal, the new manager of the service department ensured me he will be making sure no one in the future is being taken advantage ofI hope this is the truth

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/05/10) */
According to our records *** visited our service department on February 15, 2016; requesting and received and alignment for his Toyota Tundra*** returned to our service department on April 15, 2016(approximately 3,
miles later) requesting another alignment*** stated that he had ran over a piece of wood on the highwayUpon inspection our technician found that the tabs for the eccentric bolts were bent and would need to be fixed before a proper alignment could be done on the TundraWe then quoted *** approximately $4,for the new tabs and second alignmentThe alignment could not be done without the tabs being replaced first which we told the customer
Being that the vehicle was aligned and then driven for an approximate 3,miles before ***'s request for a second alignment we do not believe that the damage to the tabs on his truck was done here at Dolan ToyotaAdditionally, when requesting the second alignment *** said that he had ran over a piece of wood on the highway before he visited our service department for the second alignmentDue to the time and mileage that accrued during his first visit on February 15, and April 15, we are confident that the damage did not happen on our watchPlease see supporting documents online
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2016/05/23) */
My problems with this dealership began when I brought my Tundra in for an alignment and general servicing back in FebruaryThey performed the alignment, did the scheduled maintenance for 60,miles and inspected the vehicleI was told when I picked up the truck that it had a small oil leak around the dipstick that wasn't a big deal and would be an inexpensive fix that could be done laterWhile driving home from the dealership my check engine light came onI checked the codes and was given the code for a small evap leak of the emission system and thought that I'd bring it back to Dolan to get it checked outI couldn't get back down to Reno until April and by that time the alignment had started to driftI scheduled an appointment on 4/16/for diagnostics on the CEL and alignmentI was told that the driver side subframe tab for setting the alignment had been damaged, the carbon canister for the emission system had gotten water in it and would need to be replaced and the previously diagnosed minor engine oil leak was actually a major leak and could compromise the life of the truck's Vengine with potential catastrophic failureThey quoted me about $2,dollars for the work and said they would set me up with a rental car for a weekThey told me that the truck's warrantee had expired and I would have to pay for the workWhile driving home I made some phone calls to Toyota mechanics I know and to the dealership where I bought the TundraIt turns out that the emission system work is covered under warrantee and the diagnosis of the CEL had probably been made based upon codes only and it was likely that the carbon canister was not even the problemI turned around and brought back the rental and asked ***, the Toyota maintenance associate I was working with, about the warranteeHe wouldn't answer me - instead he had someone get my truckWhen I asked for the final estimate of costs for the work to be done, he flat out refused to give it to meSo the following week I get a call from the maintenance manager, who had heard about my situation, asking me to give them a second chanceHe told me that if I returned he would make things right by taking care of the engine oil leak under the warrantee and fix my alignmentIn the meantime I had cleared the codes for the check engine light and bought a new gas capAfter miles and a dozen or so starts the CEL had not turned back onI return to Dolan and am told that the emission system is fineThey agree to repair the seals causing the oil leakBUT the alignment problem would involve replacing the subframe, requiring a body shop and cost of $4,I am told by *** that the damage could only have been done by a mechanic applying too much force while adjusting the alignmentI ask about the alignment work done at Dolan Toyota months ago back in FebruaryI had been to no other shop and nobody had touched my truck between when I had the alignment work done in February and when I returned on 4/He denies the damage had been done there and recommends that I make a fraudulent insurance claim so the work can be paid for by my insurance companyI then make calls to the service manager who refuses to talk to me or return my messagesI make a formal complaint to Toyota USA who does nothing but forward my complaint to the dealership
Update: The response from Dolan Toyota-Scion is unequivocally unacceptableIt does not attempt to address the issue brought to the Revdex.comIn addition, whoever wrote the response does not even understand the problem is with the ACCentric (not ECCentric) boltWe will never return to this dealership and advise anyone considering them to save themselves a lot of time, aggravation, and money, and take their business elsewhere
Final Business Response /* (1000, 16, 2016/06/09) */
Hello ***,
We apologize that this has been so frustrating; however, we do not believe that Dolan Toyota-Scion is at fault in this situationThe documents show that a piece of wood was ran over as well as many miles driven before the truck was brought in again for another alignmentWe realize that we are unable to come to an agreement and therefore see why you would opt to take your business elsewhere

Hello [redacted],
Thank you so much for bringing your frustration to our attention. If you would be willing to share a bit of information with us so we can understand this issue more fully that would be great. We will need the VIN # of your vehicle as well as your phone number and email address. This...

way we can get you in contact with our Service Manager, Brett, at your earliest convenience to get this figured out.

Dolan never contacted me...

to resolve the poor customer service. Never apologized or anything. Their just trying to brush this under the carpet. Sad. I sold my Toyota as a result of their poor service and will never do business with Dolan anything from here on out.just consider this closed and please post on your website. Thank you.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2017/07/15) */
Dolan Toyota has reached out to customer Scott Leo multiple times with no response. We have attempted to resolve this by cutting customer a check back for 50.00 for overcharge of quoted service. We have two addresses for customer and he will not call us back to confirm which to send it too. 1st. address is [redacted] and the 2nd. is [redacted]. Dolan Toyota takes customer service very serious and has attempted to reach out and resolve this with customer. We also have call records of 2 seperate phone conversations with customer of 7 minutes and under 2 minutes. CRM has left 3 messages with customer and no call back. We would really love the opportunity to take care of [redacted]. Please contact service manager Brett [redacted] 775-384-5285 We have a check waiting for you at the store.

Hello,

Thank you for your continued communication on this issue. We are so sorry for the frustration it has caused you over the past few weeks or so.

Based on the documentation on our repair order the diagnostic test was completed and our Technician suggested a new Hybrid battery be purchased and installed. The original owner denied that suggestion as you can see at the bottom of the repair order. We apologize if you were give faulty information from the repair order, but you can see that the suggestion was denied and therefor the repair was never done.

There was never a warranty as the repair was never done.

If the repair would have been done Toyota Parts Warranties are not transferable to new owners. So, a warranty would not be applicable in this situation either way. Due to these facts, we recommend that you contact the dealer that sold you the car as our documentation shows the repair was never fixed and this is not a warranty issue with Dolan Toyota.
