To whom it may concern, *** *** did purchase a 1day / 24hr rental with our Nissan GT-R All 24hr rentals include 115miles of driving for the duration of the rental period The cost of the rental was $+ TAX = $which was paid in full The $security
deposit was paid when *** and her boyfriend came in to pick up the vehicle for the rental I went over all of the paperwork in the office, as usual, and then proceeded to go outside with them to get familiar with the vehicle as well as address a few minor blemishes on the vehicles exterior The vehicle had 15,533 miles on the vehicles odometer prior to them leaving to begin their plans for the day which was listed on the paperwork that was signed They had left our office / shop in the time frame of 12:30pm - 1:00pm It wasn't until 4:45pm that I received a phone call from *** indicating that there was a concern with the drivability of the vehicle She mentioned that "the vehicle sounded horrible and sounded like it was going to fall apart at any minute" I spoke with the owner, who then called *** to address the concerns immediately In that conversation, the owner spoke directly with *** who was driving the vehicle at that time and indicated that their concern was a characteristic of the vehicle When *** boyfriend, *** returned the vehicle the next day, the vehicle was not having any drivability issues Being that there was no damage to the vehicle, I refunded ***'s security deposit on the spot and gave *** the receipt to give to ***. With all of that being said, I'd like to address some of her concerns piece by piece:*** says that I told her the vehicle was a I have no reason to lie about the age of any of the vehicles in our fleet *** says that our vehicle is not a Black Edition vehicle, that it is a different model If you look at our website, you'll see what a GT-R Black Edition looks like That vehicle is identical to ours except for the fact that our vehicle is silver*** mentioned about our GT-R being silver vsthe picture of a white one on the website Being that her original inquiry was August 6th, I don't remember if the color of the vehicle came up at any point or not If at any point she asked about confirming the color of the vehicle, I definitely would've confirmed and explained the vehicle being silver If there is a chance that at no point that conversation may have happened, when she picked up the vehicle from our location, she certainly was not at all bothered, nor did she mention anything about the vehicles color especially since they saw the vehicle in our parking lot prior to walking into the office to sign off the paperwork Regarding the "mechanical issues" that *** experienced with the vehicle: - The vehicle was returned from a 3day weekend Connecticut rental earlier that morning and they had no issues with the vehicle - Upon being returned, I drove the vehicle that morning to gas it up prior to the rental - The owner of the company was then driving the vehicle for some company errands and was done with the vehicle about 15minutes prior to ***'s rental starting There were no issues with the vehicle while the owner was driving the vehicle - *** indicated that she had a concern about the vehicle, but then ignored it If the concern was that important / concerning, why wait until 4hrs later? - Beyond the vehicle supposedly having a "concerning mechanical issue", not only was the vehicle driven, but it was returned with miles, 6miles over what was permitted for their rental period Out of courtesy, we used our discretion and chose not to charge them for the overage of miles - As mentioned earlier, when *** returned the vehicle (GT-R) the next day, there was no mechanical issues with the vehicle at that time - When the vehicle was returned, our mechanics scanned for car for any error codes regarding ***'s & *** concerns and there were no error codes that showed up on the scannerOur Nissan GT-R is one of our most popular rentals and at no point has the vehicle had any issues this season, except during the time that *** had the vehicle I am by no means accusing and saying that whatever happened, they caused it but the vehicle left here with no problems and when it was returned, there were no problems I handle constant phone calls and emails 7days / week and am nothing but transparent about all details and information when it comes to renting a vehicle from Broadway SuperCars.Recap:Regarding *** wanting a refund, there are no justifiable grounds to do so She was fully aware of our policies as she read along as *** read, signed & initialed all the documents himself She indicates that the color and year of the vehicle contributed to ruining her experience but never mentioned anything to us about such concerns They indicated that they stopped driving the vehicle because there was a problem that our scanners couldn't find and hasn't been there since, but they had no problem exceeding the allowed mileage during the rental We at Broadway SuperCars find nothing about her numerous accusations to make sense considering we rent to hundreds of clients per year for all different reasons Should there be any more questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate.*** Shawn M***Senior Rental AgentBroadway Supercars
