Good plumbing work but dishonest company that tries to charge you more telling you that your Homeowner Warranty does not cover the work when it does. I had a a block in my drain line between the 1st and 2nd floor. I made the plumbers job really easy and had the toilet removed for them when they arrived so they could snake the drain at the toilet flange. They spent less than 30 minutes onsite including me signing the paperwork and paying them the extra they insisted on. They cleared the blockage with their snake. At the start of the visit they told me that it would cost more to snake on the 2nd floor and my warranty only covered the 1st floor clean out. They said that I could pay an extra $75 or they could leave and that the warranty company would still keep the initial $75 service fee since they made a visit. So I had to pay $150 total. $75 to the warranty company and $75 to the plumber. I spoke to the owner of the company afterwards and said I could send him a copy of my coverage so that he would see the service was covered and refund me the $75 but he did not want to do that. I feel like they were bulling me into paying the extra $75 at the time of the visit as they knew I could not call the warranty company while they were onsite because of the warranty companies long wait times. The owner of the company was not interested in getting a copy of the contract so they would know for future dealings with my warranty company. I wrote on the invoice that they bullied me into paying that I was not told that this service was not covered on my warranty (which it is). If it was really not covered they should have told me at the time we set up the appointment so I would have time to discuss with my warranty company. The relevant part of my contract is attached.
This customer was informed of the exact charge amount before the work was started. He was contacted by his home warranty company about the denial of his claim due to his policy rules. He paid and signed the invoice, which states were you sign you agree to charges. This is a invalid complaint..
I only paid the $75 because the plumbing company lied to me when stating that the warranty did not cover 2nd floor snaking of a drain. I have since contacted my home warranty company and they agree that I should not have been charged extra. The owner of this company had no interest in me sending me my contract to verify he should not have charged extra. If you ever get work done from this company make sure you ask for prices before they come out that way they can’t lie to you about costs.
Not a trust worthy company. They were supposed to fix a leak for an agreed price. When they completely disconnected my pipe and also caused another pipe to leak they had to go to ***. I was then informed that they would only come out to fix the issue if I gave them more money. They did not know what they were doing with my type of pipes and should never have worked on them. The plumber that came out to fix the mess let me know that they did everything wrong and did lie to me. The fix they were going to put in place would have never worked and would cause issues shortly.
Unfortunately this customer was misinformed about the water supply pipes throughout his house as they are called quest pipes and our proned to leaks. In actuality there is a class action lawsuit filed years ago for these pipes. These pipes are outlawed and not up to code therefore any plumber doing repairs to these pipes cannot warranty any repair efforts. The best option for this situation would be to repipe the entire house which was offered to the customer but he denied any Services offered therefore his claim is invalid.
