Cloverleaf Suites requires you not to smoke in the rooms, which is a rule I followed. They told me I could smoke outside on the patio that they have available for customers. With that being said, they also require a $50 deposit and said that I will be refunded my money once everything was checked out. I left my room clean even tho they have housekeeping and I also made sure everything was put back in place before I left. I called them today about my $50 deposit that I was supposed to receive and they said that they will not give it to me because the room smelled like smoke. And I did not smoke in that room. I called the hotel to ask if they have cameras in the patio area that shows who comes and goes and they said no. The manager Mr. *** was absolutely rude and did not want to give me a number for corporate. I had one other person with me who can prove that I did not smoke in that room because he was outside with me while I smoked. The manager also said that he should’ve charged me $250 smoke fee but I should just be glad that it was just the $50 deposit. I honestly want all my money back from that hotel, but I will just be ok with getting back my $50. This place is not what they make themselves seem and they are very rude

Ms. did call this morning asking about her deposit. She was told that the deposit was being kept because the suite had a heavy smell of smoke in the suite. I explained that smoking in the suite is normally a $250 charge but since we only had her $50 deposit we were going to keep that. She said she never smoked in the suite. I explained our procedure when we discover a suite had been smoked in; first the housekeeper alerts the housekeeping manager/supervisor, that person verifies the sell of smoke and has a second person verify the smell so we have three people that confirm the smell of smoke in the suite. Ms. did not like that answer. She asked for a corporate number and I explained that smoking fees are all handled at the property. She said I was rude and said she would be up to the hotel after work and hung up.

I have attached two items, our Registration Card and our Quiet Hours and Suite Rental Policy both signed by Ms.. She acknowledges that she is fully aware of the chargers we could charge and that the hotel is the sole arbiter for making decisions of this kind.
