On 8/10/2016 Mr. [redacted] dropped off at Clovis Mower Services 5 equitments. The complainant was informed that the secretary would not be able to diagnose his equipment due to several factors (re; equipment appeared to be missing parts, the dilapidated age of the equipments and over all condition of...

the equitments. He was informed that he could some back when the mechanic for owner (Mr. [redacted]) were available. The complainant insisted on leaving his equipment to to be diagnosis at a later time. The complainant filled out service tap for each equipment. The complianant stated that his 050 All Strike chainsaw had sat for years and that it didn't run. Mr. [redacted] inspected all his equipment, called the complainant informing him that we would not be working on his equipment due to missing parts & the dilapidated condition of his equipment. He was informed that when equipment are that old that it becomes difficult to find obsolete and/or unavailable parts. The complainant pleaded with Mr. [redacted] to please try to attempt to repair his chainsaw. The complainant was informed that the secretary should not have had the complainant leave his items but should have insisted that he call back later to discuss it with the mechanic or owner. The complainant insisted that Mr. [redacted] please fix them because he needed them. Mr. [redacted] stated that he would try to repair the saws nut could not promise anything due to the above foremention. Upon working on the 050 All chainsaw it was observed that someone had previously attempted to repair it(ie, fuel lines improperly hooked up, missing items). The complainant was called, to which he stated that he did try to repair it himself but to no avail. The complainants 050 All Strike chainsaw was repaired as best as it could be considering the circumstances. He was informed that main fuel lines were put in and put in correctly. He was informed that the kill switch, air filter, and recore bolts were unavailable at this time.(His saw was developed 1968 - 1972). His chainsaw was repaired. His chainsaw was started, ran and tested. The complainant was informed and given a demonstration as how to start, run and use the saw. He was informed that since the kill switch on the 050 All Chainsaw was unavailable at the time and/or obsolete that he should stop it manually by pulling out the choke to stop the motor. This is a normal procedure/alternative to having a kill switch and is not detrimental to the equipment. He was informed that when pulling the rope out from the recore unit that he was to hold the cover down with his free hand to stablize it. This procedure was necessary due to not being able to acquire the recore bolts(unavailable at the time). He was showed how the chainsaw ran properly despite the missing unavailable parts. He was instructed how to follow the procedure as mentioned to assure that he not jam up the rope. The complainant said the understood and not to worry that he would attempt himself to find the parts. The complainant was informed that numerous distributors and shops were called in order to attempt to acquire the missing parts. The complainant was informed that as technology goes that it is constantly changing as possible as early as 3-5 years. He was not happy that we didn't get the parts at that time. He was again informed that his equipment ran properly and if he could find the parts that he could install them. He again reiterated Not to worry that hell find the parts himself. Mr. [redacted] though express that he needed this saw and would take them but wished we could had gotten the parts. He started/ ran/ tested his chainsaws. He signed the invoices and paid. He became upset about the missing parts and was informed again about how we had attempted to acquire the part. He was informed that we had demonstrated how his equipment ran properly. He became upset began to berate the staff. He stated that he would tell people that we did sy work (which he did so on google). He was asked to leave and not to return. In the past 20 years Clovis Mower Service has always taken pride in knowing that weve always attempted to satisfy our customers. We had attempted to help Mr. [redacted] (despite our misopening  as foremention reason) but could not totally do so to his satisfaction due to reason beyond our control,(chainsaw unavailable parts.) Mr. [redacted] saw was repaired and was functioning properly. Attached are the following:Enclosed1.Service tag (front/back side)2. Invoice Please have Mr. [redacted] also submit his invoice.
