Customer service receives a big Came in person to cancel as they requested and signed a cancellation waiver/formNoticed my card was being charged in later months and Sonaz (manager I am guessing) kept repeating "so sorry" and unable to refund me except for the $that monthAt one point she started to push me out of the phone conversation by saying, "Well I don't want to waste anymore of your time" or rudely repeating over and over again to try to end the conversation because you could tell she was over it, "well I can do the refund for this month, I'll call billing, is there anything else..."
What a shame because I really liked the gym and one of the trainers (older male with blue eyes)Incompetent front desk staff, money fraud and thieves, and horrible customer serviceDo yourself a favor and go anywhere but hereCan not trust these people!!!

Review: I was charged a $30 fee for gym enhancement on 11/1/13. When I went to the copy of the contract I was given, there was no mention of the fee. My 3rd attempt at speaking to the manager resulted in her printing out the "first" page of the contract which I was not given when I signed up. It had my electronic signature at the bottom. There was a small place were the $30 fee was explained. It also had a line asking for "Member Initials". Mine were not there. The manager told me that I was told about it when their (now ex) employee signed me up 8 months ago. Since she explained all the terms in detail (she didn't) and signed me up "electronically" my initials were not required. The manager refused to refund my money but offered me a month of membership. The offer was not acceptable. I had cancelled my membership on 11/6/13 because I did not enjoy the gym and consequently, was not using it. I have no desire to go back there in any capacity and now feel scammed.Desired Settlement: I want my $30 refunded.

Customer service receives a big 0. Came in person to cancel as they requested and signed a cancellation waiver/form. Review: My girlfriend signed up for a membership 5/22/14. I paid $100 for the enrollment fee and she paid $40 which was first and last months dues. The recurring monthly payment was to come out of my account to secure the spousal rate of $20 per month. We went out of town for the weekend and did not workout at the time of enrollment. When we got back in town, we worked out for the first time together there and she didn't like it. She said that it was very dirty and smelled badly. I contacted management the next day and left a message to be called back by S[redacted] regarding cancellation. I did not receive a call back. I called again a few days later and still no call back. I finally got a hold of S[redacted] and was told that the cancellation period was only five days from the date of sign up. That was never verbalized, but is in writing which I found afterwards. Both my girlfriend and I were told that we could cancel any time before the 15th of each month and we would use our prepaid last months dues with no further charges. She cancelled within the first 10 days of June. I went to the business on 6/14/14 and cancelled my membership as well. I was told to call back and make sure it had been processed in time to avoid further charges. Mon, 6/16/14, I called to verify that it was processed and was told that it was. I noticed on my bank statement, a charge for $35 and another for $40. I called again to inquire. I was told to leave a message for S[redacted] which I did, but once again, no call back. I called again a few days later and got ahold of her. She couldn't explain the charges and asked me to fax my bank statement and she would forward it on to billing for an explanation or refund which I did. About a week went by and no call back. I called and was told to call back the next day which I did. I was then told that S[redacted] was not available and was told that the charges on my account we for the last month. I said that I did not want any more explanations and would file a small claims suit. I decided to start here.Desired Settlement: I feel that out of fairness to my girlfriend and I, especially since I have been a client at this gym for three years, a full refund is the RIGHT thing to do. However, since the contract states the refund policy, I was willing to settle for a refund of a prorated portion of the $40 that my girlfriend paid since May was not a full month. I demand a full refund of the $35 and $40 that are on my June statement or I will be forced to file the small claims suit as well as ask for any fees incurred.

Review: My son joined this gym up at school in San Luis Obispo. When we joined we paid the first month and the last month dues. Then we paid the dues monthly after that. He was an active member for 2 years. At the end of January he informed the club that he was graduating in March and we would pay through Feb and then March is the last month which we already paid for.I talked with the billing manager today (S[redacted]) who told me that we didnt' give her enough time to cancel the account and we didn't give her a 3 day written notice. She said she would not allow my son to work out in the gym unless he paid another months dues. It's too late for us to do anything b/c my son is done with school in 4 weeks but be aware that this is a very shady business. Read the complaints here and on YelpDesired Settlement: I want a $40 refund for the last month dues that I paid for at the beginning of the contract.
