My son had a month to month membership, for his birthday, I went in and signed him up for a full year so he didn't have to pay the monthly charges. I payed about $220 for the membership and I just found out that instead of signing him up for the year they took the money and added it his account as a Credit and withdrew from it until it was used up, which was about 6 months. Spoke to the manager and he can't figure out how to fix it unless I buy another membership and lose 6 months of what I originally payed for. The website contact is useless no one answers back, I asked for the Regional manager and he's afraid to call. Bottom line they no clue. Still fighting.

I am rejecting this response because: you clearly don't train your employees on company policy, I asked MULTIPLE TIMES in phone calls with employees what else I could do and was consistently told I had no other option than to appear in person. If I had been given any sort of instruction on cancelling via mail I would have gladly done so. The principle of the matter is that if you are comfortable taking people's credit card information over the phone with no verification, there should be zero issue with cancelling over the phone. I paid the debt with the collections agency the minute I got the call, there is zero need to reach out to them. In fact, after explaining. The situation to the kind individual at the agency, they suggested reaching out to YOU. I will certainly be letting everyone I speak with know that this is not the sort of establishment worth patronizing as the time and convenience of members is clearly not a concern to Club24.

only way Club24 would allow her to cancel is to drive back to her club24 location.  This is false. Our cancel policy is written on the back of all the membership agreements. A member can either stop by the club and fill out a cancel form, which then they would get a receipt, otherwise if they can not get into the club they can send their request in writing certified mail to the address that is on the back of the agreement.  This membership has been turned over to collections. At this point Margaret Philbin would need to be in touch with Aldous Collection Attorney's [redacted] as this is no longer in our hands.   Thank you, Club24

07/21/17 and was billed for 60 days from that date.  This is incorrect. Club24's cancel policy is that the member is required to give a 30 day notice in writing, which [redacted] did on 07/21/17. The membership was set to cancel on 08/21/17 with no more withdrawals or payments due on her account.  As of today the membership is cancelled and [redacted] only paid her required 30 day notice.   Thank you, Club24

Review: This is a health club membership whose contract states that should your home address change and your are no longer a certain distance from a Club 24, you can cancel your contract. I did this in person at the club in [redacted], on December 15th, 2014. Then when they billed me in January, because they were still billing me, I called and they said "Oh it probably didn't processed in time. We'll take care of it." Then I was incredibly busy with work and had not realized that they were still billing me, but then called again in June and spoke to [redacted], who said he was a manager. He said they had no record of me ever trying to cancel and asked that I send them a written request with proof of my new address. I sent them a written request with all that they asked for via certified mail on June 15th. Yet they are STILLL billing over $20/mo for this service, 9 months after my first attempt to cancel, and after two more subsequent attempts.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the fees charged to my credit card for the last 9 months of membership since I moved away from [redacted].

On March 6 of 2014 I went in to Club 24 to cancel my membership due to moving. I filled out a form, and was told at the front desk they would "take care of it." It never got done, and now I'm receiving calls from [redacted] about my account being in collections. This is ridiculous, as I went through the entire process, as the contract states that if I move a certain distance, that my membership can be cancelled. Moving to New York is by far enough miles. I'm not the only one to complain about these practices, or have their cancellation mishandled.Desired Settlement: I would like my bill to be adjusted to show that I cancelled my membership and have it taken out of collections for [redacted] with a zero amount due.
