As a fair resolution I would like the "free guest" part of the plan I purchased to not be "banned"I have attached a screen shot of club fitness still advertising this as part of the preferred member package days after they posted signs revoking the free guest part of the planI am currently
paying 19.99/ month for the listed benefits and do not enjoy them being taken away with no change in price or service!

Review: I have no issues with the gym itself. The complaint is with the gym manger and one of the personal trainers ( [redacted]). He took my personal information and gave it to another client/staff member who is a state trooper; not only did he do that he continued to spread my personal business and information around. When I also card the manager following Wednesday she blew it off. The situation was not ideal and I did get to close but that does not have the right to do that. I feel I should compensated for this. He also went about and tried to blame someone outside the gym for this. When approached with this topic as an adult and friend his story seemed to change every time. This is when I approached the manager. I feel I shouldn't have to pay for these services after the situation. I can't even go back to the gym. I also believe that this trainer also went and made a customer complaint to my job. I wouldn't have to go this route if the situation would just be handled I would pay. But since this drama has occured I no longer feel safe and I also feel violated. Not to mention the trainer has very personal relationships (physical ones with his clients). I feel victimized in this situation and I will get a lawyer for the de formation of character. Thank you.Desired Settlement: To be handled in a perfessional manner, refund for the personal training ( even though I followed all the suggestions where given.) there will be legal consequences if not handled properly. Thank you for your time.

Review: I was stationed at Dover AFB. In December of last year I moved from Delaware to Colorado Springs Colorado. My initial contract with club fitness ran out in March. I had already PCS'd to Colorado by that time. I am sure I was told that when the contract runs out that after the first year it is renewed on a month by month basis by the company and that if not told then the customers silence would be taken as an affirmative. I was no longer at that address to receive that reminder. I am still currently being billed by the company in Delaware even though I am 1500 miles away. My initial contract has been over for 7 months now but they still take my money. They could continue to take this money for possibly the next 5-10 years just because I never told them I moved. I believe this to be an unfair business practice. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like them to have to make contact with that person and receive an affirmation that they still want to be part of the organization. If they do not receive a notice then that individuals account is suspended and no money is withdrawn for services not rendered.

Review: On October 1, 2015, Club Fitness of Dover Delaware ceased to allow members of the preferred and premium plan to bring guests, as was listed as a "perk" of being a member higher than (and paying more than) basic membership. This notice went out in an e-mail less than 24 hours before the change became "official". This company has been denying changes/ downgrades in plans for member who just purchased that bought under the impression that the unlimited guest access was not going anywhere. My brother in law signed up two weeks ago, buying the preferred plan instead of the basic plan only so he could bring his brother in law and wife with him. When queried, the company stated that it was for insurance reasons and would be holding people to their contract (allowing them to downgrade memberships for a fee). When complaints were posted via facebook, they disappeared, when complaints were brought to the company main desk, they were ignored. When asked at the front desk, the answer "it was too crowded at night" was given for the "non contractual change" and had nothing to do with insurance. I would also like to note that after the e-mail changing their policy, they were still advertising unlimited guest access.Desired Settlement: I would like to see that the thousands of people who pay 20$ a month for membership with expected "perks" attached still be allowed those. If there is going to be a change, the right thing to do it to notify in writing 30 days prior ALL member's with a plan that's being affected of the change. They should then be allowed to determine (free of monetary penalty) if the would like to switch plans.

Review: My husband, [redacted], and I have canceled membership by postal mail in November 2014. Since then Club Fitness Dover has continued to try to debit my bank card for the membership cost without authorization for my husband and myself. I have called Club Fitness Dover in December and spoke to [redacted], manager, who stated that she would correct the issue and refund my debit card. [redacted] never did correct the issue or contact me back and I had to get my funds back through my bank by disputing the transaction. My husband and I received another phone call today, 03/01/2015 stating that the membership charge was not paid. I called the Dover location twice and did not receive an answer. Therefore, I called the other Dover location and the gentleman I spoke with stated that the charge of $104.00 was due for my membership alone. I advised him that the membership was canceled in November 2014 and he stated that it wasn't canceled. He also threatened that if the membership was not paid that it would go into collections. I asked him for a supervisor, manager, headquarters or corporate office phone number and he refused to provide the information.Desired Settlement: The membership was current when I initially requested for the membership cancellation for myself and my husband. I have contacted them several times in regards to our accounts and received terrible customer service. I would like for Club Fitness to remove this (inaccurate) past due balance and close our memberships. I would like an apology from them. Also, Club Fitness needs to advise their customers directly of each step that is needs to be taken in order to cancel a membership.

Review: I called about canceling my membership and was told I needed to mail a certified letter which I did. I cancelled my membership effective immediately in the beginning of January. I was charged a monthly fee and a yearly fee for a year and I am not even going to be a member. A co-worker of mine cancelled and didn't have to pay any fees. How is that equitable? The total charges made to my account were $68.98. It is an expectation that the money be returned to me since they were willing to wave the fees for other people.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $68.98 that was debited out of my account.

Review: I canceled my membership with this gym over a year ago. I am still being billed for the membership. I filed a dispute in May and was issued a refund, I was given an apology and told that the account would be canceled. I AM STILL BEING BILLED FOR THIS MEMEBERSHIP!!!!!Desired Settlement: I require a full refund of the amount charged between when I canceled the account and now or I will file a lawsuit.
