Response:I apologize for the incorrect information given, I am new to the team. We can honor the $178 as a spa credit.

Review: I am a member of Club H fitness since six months, availed the yearly membership on 18th of May,2013 at 60 Columbus Drive, Jersey City by paying a fee of $960($899 + tax).

I had spoken to a representative named [redacted] during my membership process and he had told me about a clause that if due to some genuine reason I had to relocate 25 miles away from this location, then apart from deducting the cancellation fee, the rest of my membership amount would be refunded back for the further remaining months.

Now I have moved to Connecticut for my husband's work and I had submitted a proof of the same to them on 16th of August,2013 but the management there which has now changed to Base Fitness is reluctant in admitting the clause for refund I just mentioned above.I kept on following up with them but since there was no positive response I moved and did not cancel my membership then as I wanted to get this thing clarified before cancellation.

Secondly, I spoke to my friends in my group who went to the club, they said even [redacted] of Club H had spoken about the same clause to them when they were interested in joining the gym.

I tried speaking to the Club H fitness personnel [redacted],Membership Advisor who too agreed that since I was verbally told about the refund process it should have been done, and I also spoke to the CFO of Club H fitness, [redacted] who was referred by [redacted] and sought their help to settle the dispute, but [redacted] didn't reply back or attended my calls after I spoke to him once.I dropped a mail to [redacted] on 26th of August,2013 .I want my money refunded back as the refund clause was one of the reasons on why we went for the annual membership by paying an one time payment.

Base fitness which has now overtook Club H fitness were ready to cancel my membership without any refund and being completely insensitive and inconsiderate.

I want this dispute to be settled as soon as possible.

I have my contract and receipt with me.
