Review: My husband and I recently brought our dog to Club K9 Spa to have a bath on a Friday afternoon. Shorty thereafter we noticed that out dog was in severe pain crying out at our touch. He also refused to eat and had been steadily becoming more depressed. By Sunday evening he had developed a vast amount of blisters and scabs on his back. These scabs were very painful for him causing him stress. We contacted your facility and were told that we should take him to the vet immediately since she wasn't sure if it was the product or a certain brush they use that caused the problem. We followed the advice and took him to [redacted], with assurance that they had a good relationship with them and with the understanding that we would be compensated if the bath had caused the problem. The veterinarian determined that it was a severe dermatitis. Indicating that something came in contact with his skin causing an allergic reaction. This reaction was with out a doubt caused by a product used in the facility. It is the only variance in our dogs life and environment. Everything in our home has remained exactly the same. We are beyond appalled by the lack of responsibility taken by the owners and their facility. Not once were we issued an apology, and on top of that we had to pay over two hundred dollars to our vet and for antibiotics. A bath that should have cost us 40.00 ended up costing us of two hundred and fifty dollars. Not to mention the countless hours grooming our dog back into shape.Desired Settlement: We feel it is only fair that the initial grooming plus the vet fees and associated meds are covered by Club K9. That is the least they could do for the inconvenience and pain to my animal and ourselves.
