Review: I called the hotel on September ** the day of my reservation asking how much the cancelation fee was. The hotel employee told me their cancelation fee was $75.00, so I went ahead and cancelled my reservation for that day. A few days later I received an email stating I was charged $229 (the price of a night's stay) for the cancelation fee. I called the manager and he told me it was $229 becauce I cancelled the reservation on the same day, which I was never informed of this fee on the day I called to cancel my reservation. Had I been informed when I called to cancell my reservation that the fee was going to be $229 instead of $75 I would not have cancelled it and would have stayed at the hotel, the only reason I DID cancel was because I was informed that the fee was only going to be $75. The manager said thats their policy and theres nothing they can do about it. This was clearly a failure to inform me their correct fees, as the only reason I cancelled the reservation was because I was told a different fee price.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $229 cancelation fee.
