One of this firm's mortgage brokers took my refinance application and appraisal deposit and informed me I was rate locked for my new loan. The next day I received the official documents from the lender which stated that I was NOT rate locked. When I contacted the broker that afternoon he assured me I was rate locked and would receive the correct documentation by the next day. When it did not arrive I contacted him again and he sent me a new set of documentation from his firm instead of the first lender and it also indicated I was not rate locked. I then called the original lender directly and learned that the broker had never rate locked my loan with the lender.
As a result of his misrepresentations, I demanded a refund of my deposit and started over with another lender at a higher rate. I recommend that you avoid doing business with people that are not capable of telling the truth.
