This letter is in response to the complaint the Revdex.com received on February 24, 2017, ID # [redacted] Clubhouse for Kids is a for profit childcare facility that has been in business since and provides care to both part time and full time children ages weeks -years, year roundWe also partner with the local school district in providing a separate 4K program to residents of the district in which we are paid but free to familiesHowever, the center has the option of allowing non-resident children per 4K session that attend full time in our daycare to also participate in the programWe are not reimbursed for the non-residents from the school district and we only allow them to attend this program if we have the room and meet state licensing child ratios as well is if they are only staying through the entire school year The complaint states they have attended Clubhouse for the last years and have been here longer than most familiesObviously, this is an untrue statement since most of our families begin as infants and stay through school ageWe have provided the family with wonderful care throughout the time the children were hereWe have always had in our policies that if you leave the center for an extended period of time and want to return later you run the risk of losing your child’s spotHowever, if we were able to get their child back in they would be responsible for re-enrolling which means paying the $registration fee per child and the first weeks tuition in order to returnThis family knew the policy as they were charged the registration fee and week tuition in September of after returning from taking months off for the summer of They never questioned it at that timeWhen the 4K program started back up for the 2016-school year we did have a couple spots available in which we choose some of our non-resident, full time paying wrap around children to attend this ½ hour sessionOne of which went to this familyHowever, the family decided to take over months off between Dec16, and Feb20, When they told the director of their plans to dis-enroll both children for months the director reiterated with the mom of the risk of losing their spots and 4KThe child’s teachers knew this as wellThe mom did ask the 4K teacher for a list of letters so she could work on at homeOther than that no other teacher ever gave them lesson plans as they stated in the complaintThey still choose to leave and that was that until they emailed a week before wanting to return and to see if we had spots available for the kids to return to the year old and pre-k classroomsAt that time we were able to get them back in full time to the daycares classrooms however not the 4K so they were to start back on Tuesday, February 21, The registration fee of $and the first week tuition of $($total) was taken automatically from their account on February, 17, Again nothing was said about the money until they returned on Tuesday, FebThe mother claimed she knew nothing about her child not being able to attend 4KThe family still received the same care as before minus the 4k which is not included in the price of daycareThe mother became extremely upset and leftSoon after the father contacted me and again I explained that they were receiving the same care but that their child could not return to 4K because of the long time he was away Had we known in September that he would not be participating in the 4K for the entire duration, we would have given that spot to another non-resident He stated that if he had known this they would have brought him in only for the ½ hour 4K sessionI explained to him once again it was for school district residents only and the spots given to our non-resident children were full time paying customers and he was not enrolled in our daycare any longer Had we known they were going to dis-enroll for plus months, we would have given it to another full time family He threatened to pull his children out and wanted his money backI told him he was still getting the same full time care so he was not entitled to the refundI reminded him again of our week termination notice policy but I was willing to oversee it and allow only week notice (Feb20-24)The children did attend all week and were cared for so the center should not have to refund them for the care their children received during that timeThe director and I met with the mom on the children’s last day, Friday, February to discuss the concerns and in that meeting she did admit that she may have misunderstood when she was told prior to leaving that her child could not return to the 4K programSincerely [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below We still feel that we should be at least refunded the $registration fee at a minimumShe states that we paid $for registration in September and that is not trueUpon reviewing my bank statement we were charged $for annual supplies on 9/2/and then the $was taken back on June 3, for their first weekThe $registration was only ever charged to the best of my knowledge when each child was originally enrolledThe issue that we have with paying the $for registration is that it was charged without prior notification and we were never told that we'd have to reregister the kidsWe were never given any paperwork to reregister, so I feel that it isn't right to charge usThe $wouldn't have bothered us if we were properly notified in advance and not treated the way that we were upon returning. As far as the weekly tuition goes, we would be fine with taking 50% backWe only sent them because [redacted] refused to refund us even after we offered to pick them up immediately once we knew we weren't getting the service we under the impression that we were getting beforeFor her to say she deserves the full tuition for providing care for our kids, we only kept them there because we had to pay regardlessMy wife then used the hours each day to look for a new facilityThey got $for total hours of care.We are aware that they can only have kids from out of area in the 4k program at Middleton Cross Plains School DistrictWe did not plan in September 2016, to take our kids out of school for monthsWe have since called the school district and they confirmed that the director and owner of Clubhouse both had lied to my wife when they said: "the school district will not take kids mid-semester from out of area." The school district stated that it is the day care's choice and the 4k program does not take attendance for out of area studentsThey don't even know how many days that our kids are goneThey stated that if his spot had not been filled, which it wasn't, then there would be no reason to why he isn't welcome back to the 4k program. The owner, ***, said that 4k is a privilege and it is not their fault that we were "cheap" by pulling our kids out of daycareThe only things that we were aware of and were willing to take the risk of were: losing the spot in the year old room and the 4k roomIt wasn't ever stated that, no matter what, that even if there are spots available in the year old room and the pre-K room that we would not be able to go back to the 4k program at all.The reason why my wife had stated that maybe this is all a misunderstanding is because of the lack of communication from them not being specificWhat was said to my wife was that our son could not go to 4K while he wasn't enrolled at clubhouseThat part is the only misunderstanding because when it was said, it is implied that he can return to 4K once he's enrolled at clubhouse again. We feel that we did our part in being sure that our kid's care would resume to the exact same set up when we left in DecemberWe feel that we are intentionally being treated differently because we pulled our kids out while we took vacation and while my wife was able to be home and be with the kids[redacted] specifically said that if it was up to her, that our boys wouldn't be welcome backOnly [redacted] allowed it to happenShe said that when she cornered my wife on the last day of service [redacted] states that [redacted] had prior conversations with my wife in front of multiple teachers about our son not being able to return to 4k, which is not true because the conversations happened in the common area and Becky's office with the doors to their classrooms closedThe teachers would not be able to hear with their doors shut, kids playing, and the teachers teaching.Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
We still feel that we should be at least refunded the $100 registration fee at a minimum. She states that we paid $100 for registration in September and that is not true. Upon reviewing my bank statement we were charged $60 for annual supplies on 9/2/16 and then the normal $434.75 was taken back on June 3, 2016 for their first week. The $100 registration was only ever charged to the best of my knowledge when each child was originally enrolled. The issue that we have with paying the $100 for registration is that it was charged without prior notification and we were never told that we'd have to reregister the kids. We were never given any paperwork to reregister, so I feel that it isn't right to charge us. The $100 wouldn't have bothered us if we were properly notified in advance and not treated the way that we were upon returning. As far as the weekly tuition goes, we would be fine with taking 50% back. We only sent them because [redacted] refused to refund us even after we offered to pick them up immediately once we knew we weren't getting the service we under the impression that we were getting before. For her to say she deserves the full tuition for providing care for our kids, we only kept them there because we had to pay regardless. My wife then used the 3.5 hours each day to look for a new facility. They got $440.30 for 14 total hours of care.We are aware that they can only have 2 kids from out of area in the 4k program at Middleton Cross Plains School District. We did not plan in September 2016, to take our kids out of school for 2 months. We have since called the school district and they confirmed that the director and owner of Clubhouse both had lied to my wife when they said: "the school district will not take kids mid-semester from out of area." The school district stated that it is the day care's choice and the 4k program does not take attendance for out of area students. They don't even know how many days that our kids are gone. They stated that if his spot had not been filled, which it wasn't, then there would be no reason to why he isn't welcome back to the 4k program. The owner, [redacted], said that 4k is a privilege and it is not their fault that we were "cheap" by pulling our kids out of daycare. The only things that we were aware of and were willing to take the risk of were: losing the spot in the 3 year old room and the 4k room. It wasn't ever stated that, no matter what, that even if there are spots available in the 3 year old room and the pre-K room that we would not be able to go back to the 4k program at all.The reason why my wife had stated that maybe this is all a misunderstanding is because of the lack of communication from them not being specific. What was said to my wife was that our son could not go to 4K while he wasn't enrolled at clubhouse. That part is the only misunderstanding because when it was said, it is implied that he can return to 4K once he's enrolled at clubhouse again. We feel that we did our part in being sure that our kid's care would resume to the exact same set up when we left in December. We feel that we are intentionally being treated differently because we pulled our kids out while we took vacation and while my wife was able to be home and be with the kids.[redacted] specifically said that if it was up to her, that our boys wouldn't be welcome back. Only [redacted] allowed it to happen. She said that when she cornered my wife on the last day of service. [redacted] states that [redacted] had prior conversations with my wife in front of multiple teachers about our son not being able to return to 4k, which is not true because the conversations happened in the common area and Becky's office with the doors to their classrooms closed. The teachers would not be able to hear with their doors shut, kids playing, and the teachers teaching.Regards,

This letter is in response to the complaint the Revdex.com received on February 24, 2017, ID #[redacted]. Clubhouse for Kids is a for profit childcare facility that has been in business since 1997 and provides care to both part time and full time children ages 6 weeks -10 years, year round. We also partner...

with the local school district in providing a separate 4K program to residents of the district in which we are paid but free to families. However, the center has the option of allowing 2 non-resident children per 4K session that attend full time in our daycare to also participate in the program. We are not reimbursed for the non-residents from the school district and we only allow them to attend this program if we have the room and meet state licensing child ratios as well is if they are only staying through the entire school year.  The complaint states they have attended Clubhouse for the last 4 years and have been here longer than most families. Obviously, this is an untrue statement since most of our families begin as infants and stay through school age. We have provided the family with wonderful care throughout the time the children were here. We have always had in our policies that if you leave the center for an extended period of time and want to return later you run the risk of losing your child’s spot. However, if we were able to get their child back in they would be responsible for re-enrolling which means paying the $50 registration fee per child and the first weeks tuition in order to return. This family knew the policy as they were charged the registration fee and week tuition in September of 2016 after returning from taking 3 months off for the summer of 2016. They never questioned it at that time. When the 4K program started back up  for the 2016-2017 school year we did have a couple spots available in which we choose some of our non-resident, full time paying wrap around children to attend this 2 ½ hour session. One of which went to this family. However, the family decided to take over 2 months off between Dec. 16, 2016 and Feb. 20, 2017.  When they told the director of their plans to dis-enroll both children for 2 months the director reiterated with the mom of the risk of losing their spots and 4K. The child’s teachers knew this as well. The mom did ask the 4K teacher for a list of letters so she could work on at home. Other than that no other teacher ever gave them lesson plans as they stated in the complaint. They still choose to leave and that was that until they emailed a week before wanting to return and to see if we had spots available for the kids to return to the 3 year old and pre-k classrooms. At that time we were able to get them back in full time to the daycares classrooms however not the 4K so they were to start back on Tuesday, February 21, 2016. The registration fee of $100 and the first week tuition of $440.30 ($540.30 total) was taken automatically from their account on February, 17, 2017. Again nothing was said about the money until they returned on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The mother claimed she knew nothing about her child not being able to attend 4K. The family still received the same care as before minus the 4k which is not included in the price of daycare. The mother became extremely upset and left. Soon after the father contacted me and again I explained that they were receiving the same care but that their child could not return to 4K because of the long time he was away.  Had we known in September that he would not be participating in the 4K for the entire duration, we would have given that spot to another non-resident.   He stated that if he had known this they would have brought him in only for the 2 ½ hour 4K session. I explained to him once again it was for school district residents only and the spots given to our non-resident children were full time paying customers and he was not enrolled in our daycare any longer.  Had we known they were going to dis-enroll for 2 plus months, we would have given it to another full time family.  He threatened to pull his children out and wanted his money back. I told him he was still getting the same full time care so he was not entitled to the refund. I reminded him again of our 2 week termination notice policy but I was willing to oversee it and allow only 1 week notice (Feb. 20-24). The children did attend all week and were cared for so the center should not have to refund them for the care their children received during that time. The director and I met with the mom on the children’s last day, Friday, February 24  to discuss the concerns and in that meeting she did admit that she may have misunderstood when she was told prior to leaving that her child could not return to the 4K program. Sincerely [redacted]

I am willing to give the $100 registration fee back
