Clutter Critters

December 2018 I hired this company to pack and load my personal belogings in a container, the container was then shipped overseas by my employer (and international freight forwarding company) due to my relocation in Italy. during the moving process I paid to Roadrunner moving & co $1,524.53 on december 13th 2018, due as deposit for the moving materials (blankets and fasteners) needed for the moving, with the agreement that I would have returned the material to them a few months later. the relocation process lasted longer than expected and long story short I shipped back the blankets end of october 2019 to have them delivered beginning of november to RR in Simi Valley, CA. J from RR first claimed that some of the blankets were damaged and unusable (which is hard to believe cause the blankets went with the goods inside the container in Marina del rey (loaded by RR staff) and from inside the container they were unloaded in my company warehouse in Italy, where they were unpacked a few months later. They were then packed on a skid and shrink wrapped to be returned to RR. there is NO WAY that the blankets were damaged to a point of being unusable, even if some of them may have suffered some minor rip or cut during the unpacking process, that wouldn't make them wasteable, proof of that is that some of the blankets were already slightly ripped or cut when RR staff applied them to my belongings. as a side note, some stuff was poorly packed, there were light crystal carafes and chalices packed in newspaper and books and plates were placed on top of them...(approx 400$ damage), not to mention that the initial estimate given to me by RR turned out to be 3 times higher (about 12,000$ instead of roughly 4000$ estimated). notice that RR estimate was done with a live survey, they checked every cabinet and every closet to verify the a amount of goods to be packed. since december 6th 2019 I have received no reply and no refund and no return from roadrunner, specifically J
