Review: Employee walked through downstairs carpet with red mud on Boots which stained the carpets now we have to have them cleaned.I emailed the company And they never even acknowledged our issue we had with that.Desired Settlement: A email or phone call would have been nice or not charing us so much for a price of Electrical tape that fixed our problem.

It was an extremely rainy day of the service call. Our service technician, [redacted], was aware of the mud on the dark tan / brown carpet in the basement the minute it happened. [redacted] offered to clean the mud up and [redacted] said not to worry about it. [redacted] insisted. [redacted] then provided "Resolve" carpet cleaner and paper towels. [redacted] scrubbed the spots (approximately five 2"x2" spots). [redacted] removed any spots that were on the carpet. He apologized several times to [redacted] who said "don't worry about it" and appeared to be satisfied with the cleaning results. [redacted] paid for the service call at the end of the appointment.

As to the pricing, we charged an $80 diagnostic charge for coming out and diagnosing the problem. A $35 trip charge was also charged due to the distance of the call from our office. A minor repair of $49 was billed for searching for a short and taping wires together so as not to cause a short in the future. The total billed for this call was $164. This billing is standard procedure for our company. A shorted 5 amp fuse was also replaced at the time of service but we did not bill this charge of $14.00. The system was working properly at the end of the service call.

We apologize for any misunderstandings or lateness in response, but we were assured by [redacted] at the time of service that there were no problems. She paid the bill by check at the time of service without any complaints.

We have had service through this company before. The technician wore booties each time he entered our basement . He said it was normal as I was glad not to ask him to take off his shoes . Obviously my wife wasn't going to act crazy as she saw the mud on our carpet. Would you? I think she didn't know what to say. Any reasonable person knows that's not responsible behavior. Tell us we are out of range instead of charging me $35 dollars, you really don't think I couldn't find another hvac company within range? $14 for a penny fuse I would have been pretty angry. As for the tape $49 is not appropriate charge for tape around a wire. I wish I was awake for this one but I had to work all night to pay for 40min of time. We will not come to a resolve since it's no problem to screw up and own up to it .
