On June I was the server for the table in questionI was extremely attentive to their table and answered all of the many questions about our menu that they hadThroughout the entirety of taking their order they were making fun of how "fancy" our restaurant is, suggesting that we change our
menu to something "less fancy"I personally went back to our kitchen several times while their order was being prepared to make sure that everything was going to come out perfectly for the tableWhen the woman at the table did not like one of the drinks our bartender made her, l happily took it off her check and got her a new drink that she enjoyed and drank all ofThey're appetizers and entrees came out fine and they had no real complaints about the food to my knowledgeAt the end of the meal after ordering some food to go, they asked me why I had never brought their child any juiceNow a child's juice is free of charge at our restaurant anyway, but they had never asked me for any juice because I didn't know what kind they wantedThey were on their way out so I offered to get them a large juice in a to go cup so they could take it home and enjoy it later, instead they asked if they could speak to my managerMy manager Allie happily went over there talked to them about the situation, she offered to take one appetizer off the checkThe table then asked me for separate checks, so I brought their checks over and one of the women at the table started to yell at me and asked why I took an appetizer off the gentlemen's check and not her check because it was her child who didn't receive his juice, instead of saying this to me in a collected manor, this woman was very loud in the middle of our Father's Day dinner when they're were many other diners in our restaurant, she then told me that she refused to pay for the drink that she had bought and I then told her only my manager had the power to decide that, so Allie came back to the table and told them politely that she had already compensated their check and that since I offered to get their child the juice and fix the problem, that the women would have to pay for her drink, because she drank itAfter that Allie told me not to go back to the table because they were being really rude and I had other diners in the restaurant at the timeThey then proceeded not to tip me and storm outThroughout their meal, one of my coworkers was taking an order at a near by table and could hear them making fun of her doing her jobAllie is a great manager and fair to everyoneand I think she helped me handle this situation as best as we could. Leane S***, ServerI first became aware that *** might be an issue when Lisa notified me that when she would go to table *** (directly next to the guests in question), the guests of *** would mock her, to the point where her guests at *** said something to her Annie soon after told me that she is having a big problem taking care of *** because they were being rude and everything back claiming they didn't know certain things would accompany the dish like mentioned on the menuColin did his absolute best to try and figure out what the table wanted and getting it for them in a timely mannerThey were 'disgusted' by the herb fingerling potatoes, didn't like the setup on the crab cakes (although it is listed on the menu), didn't like the watermelon margarita and wanted separate checksWhen it came time for the separate checks one of the ladies was upset that that the crab dip they ordered was on her check and told Annie that if Annie was going to put the crab dip on her check that she did not want to pay for the Mai thai she orderedWhen I apologized and offered to get him one they said they didn't want itAnnie, distraught, asked me to drop the checks off because they were getting to the point where they were being very rude to her, so I didWhen I dropped off the checks for the table I announced that I had in fact taken care of the crab dip onc margarita for them and apologized for any inconvenienceThat's when the lady at seat saw the mai thai still on her check and told me that she told Annie to take it offI explained to her that I took care of the crab dip and margarita, but that was all I would be taking off, offered again to get the child a juice but again they said noIt was a very stressful table, and we tried our best to accommodate their needsEach time I approached the table to try and rectify the situation I was met with hostility and mocked as wellI ran their payment for them and wished them a happy day.-Alexandra A***
