CM Masonry

Review: [redacted] from CM Masonry was hired to remove the vinyl siding on the lower front of our home and replace with decorative field-stone in May of 2012. **, [redacted] completed the renovation and was paid in two installments in full in the amount of $5700 per the guidelines of his documented contract. Within approximately 5 months of the installation, one "end cap" stone cracked the entire height/depth of the stone. This is imperfection is extremely noticeable and needs to be repaired, considering it was only within months of the installation. **. [redacted] was contacted and he viewed the damaged stone in October, 2012 noticing the damage. He said he would wait until after the winter and replace the stone. In April of 2013 I spoke to **. [redacted] who said he would do the needed repair. After no contact from **. [redacted] by late May, 2013 I spoke to him again who said he "had us on the schedule" within the next two weeks to replace the stone. Since that time I have not heard from **. [redacted] though I have sent him 5 e-mails inquiring about the status of the repairs, nor has he returned any of my 6-7 phone messages. He continues to use pictures and a video of my home that promotes his workmanship on his website. Keep in mind I never gave any permission for my property to be used as a selling feature for his business. He has failed to make the necessary repairs though paid in full. I have no bargaining leverage other than this complaint for any consumers considering his services. I would not recommend his services based upon his failure to rectify his poor workmanship. No consumer should be treated in this manner.Desired Settlement: I have "pleated" all along for CM Masonry to make good on their work product and replace the one and only cracked stone. **. [redacted] clearly advised that this repair would be completed and to date, he has not once returned a call or e-mail, thus not repairs have been made. I have been very patient, paid him in full and only ask for the courtesy to a resolution of our written and verbal mutually agreed contract.
