Jim R is an extremely talented Generac repairman. He updated my Generac to the latest standards and I am extremely confident it will be there if I need it during the forthcoming winter. He is definitely one of the best.

I purchased a Generac generator in May 2017 and and bought an extended warranty that covers ALL repairs. I started having problems in oct. 2018 the red light kept coming on meaning it was not working. I called CM Mose & Sons, Pleasant Valley, Mo. to repair the generator, they came out 10-5-18 and said the problem was overcrank, they assured me they fix it, but on 12-5-18 the generator stopped again, red light, they came out and same thing, they fixed it. Then 8-21-19, they ordered a part from generac, installed a "new mixer assembly", said the problem.was fixed. On 9-13-19 again a RED light, a service man named Stuart came out, this time he charged me $104.00 I argued I had an extended warranty, parts and service were suppose to be covered, and had never been charged a service call in the past. They kept misdiagnosing the problem, therefore, it continued to breakdown , it was not getting fixed. Had another breakdown on 9-19-19 after the new part was installed. They finally sent a supervisor over the generator dept by the name of Jim ***, he discovered the problem was the control board. He told me and a friend with me it had been misdiagnosed. That was replaced and I have not had anymore problems. My complaint is I was charged $104.00 on 9-13-19 and feel like the problem was their fault, misdiagnosed, which I should not been charged. Jim *** came out and he even told me it was misdiagnosed. The first part that was replaced "new mixer assembly" was probably fine and replaced because of being misdiagnosed. I called to see about getting my 104.00 back and didn't go well. I was very disgusted and disappointed with this company, they couldn't seem to find what the problem was and it took the supervisor to fix it.

We diagnosed the issue but many factors can cause a failure including user error. We followed the Generac protocol in diagnosing and servicing the generator. We did not install this unit so we cant comment on any issues that may have occurred prior to the service. Not sure why this home owner did not get service or call the company that did the install. Perhaps they had issues with the installer and chose not to use them. As we have over 2000 Generac generator service customers, we have never had a problem with any of them, in fact we consistently receive 5 star reviews because of our impeccable standards, procedures and the best technicians in the country. As always we strive for excellence and complete customer satisfaction but in this case we obviously did not achieve the satisfaction. Hopefully the homeowner never has another issue with the generator or whoever services it.

I am rejecting this response because: This is untrue. True they did not install the generator, but they did the service for my generator, and misdiagnosed the problem time and time again for a good 6 months. The date of the charge of $104.00 by Stuart on 9-13-19, my generator was still not working. I had to call again and on 9-19-19 technician Daniel *** came back out and discovered Stuart had turned off the gas valve and did not turned it back on. The technician Daniel *** did turn the gas valve on but generator did not work due to misdiagnosed. Jim *** the generator supervisor came out and diagnosed it as the control panel, he even "SAID" it was misdiagnosed when he came out, I have a witness that was here. I had an extended warranty and should have NEVER been charged a service fee. I called and talked to Generac and they also said they should not charge the $104.00, the last time I called generac she asked me if CM Mose & son refunded the $104.00 and I told her no. This was a TOTAL MISDIAGNOSED problem from their employees. Like I said I talked to Generac and they told me I should have not been charged. THIS WAS THEIR FAULT DUE TO NOT FINDING THE ACTUAL PROBLEM WITH THE GENERATOR. I don't care how many generators they have installed, THEY MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, I didn't, and I should have been NO CHARGE, that was their fault. I am very disgusted with this company, misdiagnose after misdiagnose and it was very frustrating calling and this company misdiagnosing the problem time and time again and not fixing this generator. Thank you

This unit has problems and will continue to have problems due to the original install of which C.M. Mose did not do. We will refund the money but will not service this unit in the future. Tell us why here...

thank you. All I want is my $104.00 charged due to them misdiagnosing my generator. I would never recommend this company. the problem was not the installation, it was the control broad that had been misdiagnosed by this company. I would have them to service my generator again and do hope my complaint is posted to the public. thank you so much

I purchased a 21 KW Generac Generator from Lowe's. It was installed by C. M. Mose and Sons Electrican. The installation was completed in one day and the professionalism of all the techinicians was outstanding. They knew their jobs and completed the installation while informing me of what was to occur in each step of the process. They followed up the next day to complete the 24 hour break-in period and were just as professional and informative as the prior day even though it was a different techinican. I would highly recommend C. M. Mose and Sons for any generator installation. We have had the generator for two weeks and it has performed as promised.

Used them for 5 years now servicing whole house natural gas generator they installed. Original installation had some minor problems , they took care of them .
Maintenance has been on time with call beforehand , Josh has done a great job .

I have recently opted to use C.M. M & Son as my AC/Heating service and have also had them do some work on an electrical problem. The company was truly service/customer oriented from the moment Michelle answered the phone all the way through to the completion of services at my home. Mike J, Jim R, and Josh W all did a great job contacting me beforehand, showed up when they said they would, explained to me what they were going to do, then got the job done quickly and professionally. It was a pleasure to have a company provide such good service and, in my experience, that is a rare commodity these days. Kudos to C.M. M!

The serviceman arrived on time (after calling ahead), was polite, worked efficiently, and explained everything he was doing and why. He gave me the opportunity to ask questions. I would recommend him (and C.M. Mose & Sons, in general) to others.
