Good afternoon,In response to the recent complaint you received we wanted to be prompt in our reply. After reviewing the lease I must first say that Angel *** did not have a lease with us. She was on the lease as an occupant so therefore she does not have a right to file a
complaint. However, we will assume she wrote on behalf of our tenant, LeRoy *** (her boyfriend). Their lease expired on August 31, and according to NC Real Estate laws we have days to release the security deposit. Mr*** did, in fact, turn his key in to our office for the unit on August 28th, 2017 but that did not release them from the lease until the end of the term. We are still within the day time frame of releasing the deposit and have done so. His check is in the mail to the address he provided us with when the key was returned. The check number we mailed out was and the amount was $which is the entire amount of their security deposit. If further information is needed we will be happy to provide it.
