Review: My mother [redacted] was purchasing a cemetery packet from CMS East she passed away 4/26/14 and I was to*d I needed to pay the bi** off before she cou*d be buried which I did on 4/28/14. Severa* months passed and I contacted CMS about why my mother sti** didnt have her stone and was to*d that I never came in to design it, but no one ever to*d me that I needed to come in and design it. I made the appointment with [redacted] on Ju*y 8 at the Cambridge *ocation and was to*d that it wou*d take 4-6 weeks, I advised her that my mothers birthday was on 8/23/14 and we wanted to have a service there. I ca**ed at the end of Ju*y, spoke with [redacted] she said she had received the paperwork that morning and it *ooked okay and was faxing it back to the company that day and there wou*d be no prob*em with it being here by 8/23/14. I ca**ed CMS the week of 8/18/14 and was to*d there was an error and it wou*d not be in unti* mid September, 2014. I ca**ed the corporate office ###-###-#### and spoke with Wendy expressing my disatisfaction and she said the *ady who is fi**ing in for [redacted] was out unti* Monday and she wou*d discuss with her and get back with me at the beginning of the week. I ca**ed 8/26 spoke with Wendy and she said she wasnt ca**ing me back because the *ady fi**ing in a*ready to*d me of the prob*em. I to*d her I shou*d be reimbursed for a** this and she said her company did nothing wrong and I asked her how wou*d she fee* its hard enough dea*ing with *oss and then the company doesnt care if you get what you paid for. She said the prob*em was not them it was the company they work with on the stone and I said I paid them not the other company. I to*d her it is pretty bad she is in customer service and doesnt see that no one from CMS was even going to ca** me to come in to design the stone after they took my money. She said they dont give dates on when a stone is going to be avai*ab*e and [redacted] shou*dnt have to*d me that. They cou*d not make my mothers stone for years if no timeframe is on it.Desired Settlement: I fee* CMS shou*d give some partia* refund back. I do not *ive in Cambridge, Ohio and I have made mu*tip*e trips down there to see if the stone has arrived a*so the stress this has caused by not even having a stone there for my mothers birthday on 8/23/14 which was near*y 4 months after she passed. I had to actua**y guess were she is at because [redacted] was unab*e to show me. I had to take a day off of work to meet with [redacted] because the office is not open on weekends and c*oses at 3:30 pm

Guernsey County Memory Gardens in Cambridge, Ohio.

We apologize if we were the cause of any breakdown in communication concerning the

ordering of the memorial for Ms. [redacted]. I can assure you that the memorial

has been installed. This is roughly 57 days from the date that we received approval

from Ms. [redacted] concerning the design. This is well within our ordinary procedures. We

are sorry if Ms. [redacted] was lead to believe that it could be any earlier but we have no

control over our suppliers. That is why we usually do not try to assure any particular

date for installation.

It appears I have no alternative but to accept but it is very disturbing how companies can take your money and then they don't care how they treat you. This company had no intention of even notifying me that my mother's tombstone needed a design, but they sure made it clear I had to pay it off before her body could be placed in the ground.
