CMS Financial Reviews (%countItem)

CMS Financial contacted me after a year and refunded me half the money they originally charged. They are making right on what I felt was not happening And I take back my negative rating

Contacted by a rep. (Mark L) about 0% interest free *** and ended up with an unauthorized $4,275 balance transfer to himself.
My mother who speaks limited english and a senior citizen, was contacted by a representative (Mark L) about opening a 0 % *** simplicity card and in the process he made an unauthorized balance transfer of $4,275 for himself. We found out later that he opened a*** credit card and balance transferred money from my mother's two credit card balance to*** credit card. He also opened a ***bank card, which he balance transferred (unauthorized) of $4,275 to himself. When we questioned the charge with *** they would give us the run around, offering no direct response. The representative Mark L did not explain to my mom that there would be a cost for his services of $4,275 to balance transfer a balance of $9,785 to*** card, an unrelated transaction to ***, which was supposedly his original intent. Now my mom has an additional credit card that she did not intend to open and has an additional balance that she did not intend to have ($9785 +4275). He did not disclose to my mom that he would be taking $4,275 unauthorized balance transfer for himself with ***.

I think CMS Financial is a scam and I would be wary of *** simplicity card as well.

Desired Outcome

My mother would like a refund of $4,275 charged back to her

We have made several attempts to contact you by phone within last 2 weeks. I'm sorry for your frustration as we aim to please all of our customers. However nothing can be done without your full consent and understanding. It is literally physically impossible that Mark L; who is no longer employed by CMS Financial, transferred anything without your knowledge and full involvement. No bank would allow anyone other then the card holder to provide an authorization to transfer funds to any account. We want to make this right though and after further review we realize the fee in which *** authorized and sent from her account has been partially rejected by our company and a partial refund request has been submitted for ***. We would like the oppurtunity to make things right and speak with you in regards to this. Please call us at your earliest convenience.

My mother has been trying to contact Mark L ever since the Revdex.com complaint to resolve issue to no avail. Finally, on 11/26/19 my mother and I was able to reach Brandon M, Account Supervisor to Mr. L. He started to explain his side of the story. I confirmed/denied what he said and what Mr. L disclosed to my mom. At the end, Mr. M affirmed that it was not explained clearly to my mother and also admitted that my mom did not understand the said transaction. At conclusion of the call, Mr. M agreed to give my mother back the full amount of the service fee charged of $4,488.75, including the 5% balance transfer fee charged by ***. Mr. M and my mother agreed to have this full amount paid back in installments of: 12/6/19 $561.09, 12/13/19 $561.09, 12/20/19 $561.09, 12/27/19 $561.09, 01/3/20 $561.09, 01/10/20 $561.09, 01/17/20 $561.09, 01/24/20 o$561.12.He said he would call back on 12/2/19 to advise if it would be credited back on her credit card or a check will be sent to her home address. It is 12/2/19 and have not heard back from Mr. M. We are requesting that Revdex.com keep my mom's case open until we actually receive the total payments as promised, with the last payment on 01/24/20. We would also like to thank Revdex.com for their help. It was much appreciated. We are greatful that you exist. Thank you!

I was contacted by these people for a promise of 0% interest on the 4 credit cards I have to a new account they would open for me.Asked to cancel
I was offered 0% interest loan or credit card for life of loan. They open and transferred money to payoff 1 cardboard so far. They wanted me to call them back on Friday the 25th of Oct. when I got the new credit cards so the could complete the transfers remaining on the other cards.I called them to cancel the whole thing today and they did not give a cancellation number.Today is the 24th of Oct.I feel I have made a mistake going thur this process.

Desired Outcome

Since all that has taken place is 2 credit card account opened in my name and 1 transfer from one of my cards to another of my cards do I have to pay them 5000. for doing that ?They wanted me to call them when the new credit cards arrived at my home on the 25th of Oct.to as they put it to complete the final transfers .Im not going to do that.

We did a lot more then the client is stating, and the client was fully aware of all transactions and fees being charged for services. Everything done was with his full involvement and full understanding. Never the less we contacted the customer (after realizing the fee in which he accepted and authorized was too high) and notified him that we would not be accepting his check in which he sent for our services. A representative of CMS FINANCIAL contacted him numerous times and left multiple messages on his voice mail notifying him of this. There is no cancellation number to provide him because his payment has not been received nor will it be accepted when it does. We informed him through voice mail that it will be voided out when received and sent back to him at his residents. Also informed him through his voice mail that all of information would be deleted and removed from our system at time of that as well. All of this was stated to him through numerous voice mails since he will not accept our calls. And all of this was informed to him before receiving this notice from Revdex.com. And we received a follow up message from him stating he received the voice mail and wanted to speak to manager. But again every time we try and call him it's to no avail since he doesn't answer and we have to leave a voice mail.

If this is indeed closed and finished, good. The new credit cards are still coming in.Only time will tell how this all plays out.If they have payment going towards them I don't have any idea what that's about.I will have to check my credit score to see what this all looks like.

Received 4 credit cards and charged 1550.00 on one of his active cards.
On September 20th 2019 received numerous calls from CMS Financial stating that they could increase my credit score. I am a senior citizen and my wife is disabled. They stated that they could raise the credit score but I would have to pay them a fee to get the help. The first week after call I was charged 1550.00 on my capital one card and sent three credit cards. They even tried more cards until they stated I had to many. Called them they would not refund my money. Called the credit card company and they said I would have to call CMS Financial.

Desired Outcome

I would just like them to return the 1550.00 they took from me. They now have all my information. I think they have now ruined my credit score and I will now start losing the cards I already had before this. My wife is really upset with me and she already is suffering with all her disabilities so I have made everything way worse for her.

I received a call from the company that my complaint was about. They have stated it is not a scam. They have stated they are 100 percent not a scam. My spouse is going ahead. Thank You for all your time. Please cancel this complaint . Thank You for closing this.

This company is claiming to reduce my mothers interest rate to 0%, they are charging her a fee of $4,000.00. I think they are scamming seniors
they asked her to split the credit card debt into two new credit cards. Charging her $900 per month. Now they are offering for a fee of $4,000 a 0% intrest fee if she opens a third card. They need to be stoped. My mother is on a fixed income and 83 yrs old.

Desired Outcome

to be left alone, no calling every year offering bad choices for my Mom.

The company was to help me with finances but only added more credit cards to my account. Dropped my credit score in the hole.
I was contacted by the company to help me take care of my credit card debt. It ended up that I had to pay $4000 from my Discover card to them. I was sent 2 new credit cards in my name that I did not authorize, plus my credit score went from good credit to needs work. I am on a fixed income and not able to pay all my bills. I was told the company would refund me $3500 of my money, with checks of $500 sent every week till I was paid back. I didn't receive the full amount because they were able to secure a credit card with 0% interest for me. I have yet to receive any re-payment and get the run-around when I call to talk to someone about it. I have very little in my bank account to pay my bills and will soon have nothing till I am paid back.

Desired Outcome

CMS Financial promised refund and has not refunded me a penny. They promise a check in the mail in a few days but I have yet to receive anything. I have been at this now for nearly 5 months.

A representative (Mark L) from CMS Financial contacted me about a 0% credit card to transfer my existing balance on another credit card.
Back in June I was contacted by CMS to transfer an existing balance on my credit card to one with zero interest for 18 months. The fee was going to be $2500.00 then changed to $900.00 after my wife and myself repeatedly told Mark L that were were not interested. Two credit cards were opened in my name. I had to cancel both credit cards and then repay the transfer money that was applied to another card that also created an over payment on the account. I have filed a police report and notified the credit bureaus.

Desired Outcome

When a person/company is told NO you are not interested, they need to take no for an answer and not to proceed ahead. This is not the first compliant with this company and I'm sure it won't be the last. The compliant's listed show a pattern with CMS.

Mr. and Mrs. D were transfered to our company from a third party marketing organization in which prior to speaking to us they agreed to be serviced on their accounts and be charged a fee. After speaking to patrick d*** he informed us that he had an issue with fee being so high, so to accomidate him we reduced fee. We proceeded with him and his wife's full consent other wise we would never have done so. He was fully aware of the accounts that were being opened in his name and from what we were informed it wasnt until they spoke to a family member that they had a change of heart. their was a check that received for the fee agreed upon (and sent by Patrick) for the services in which we were going to perform for both him and his wife, but since they stated they were no longer interested we did not accept their check. We have full recordings of all calls if needed to send as well. No fraud was performed as they are making this seem. After finding out they were not interested anymore we made no other attempts to contact them.

CMS Financial,Inc. is a total Scam company.Beware and do not send them any money!!!

In March of 2019, I started getting phone calls for *** phone 813-*** that he worked for Card Member Services part of Equifax. that I had good credit , he could get me fiinancial help. I refuse but he kept calling 5 times at least. Then he had this financial advisor to talk to show me how they could save me between 4 to 5,000 in interest on my Capital card. This is when *** phone 855-*** took over. After another at least 10 phone calls or more he said they could get Capital One to not charge any more interest. He had other cards with 0 financial charges. He kept telling how much I would save in interest, all I had to do was pay them $1,250.00. We had a 3 way conversation, Mr., Capital One and myself. I was stupid and listen to all this wonderful money he could save me, so I did say ok, and sent the money to CMS Fianncial. That night I could not sleep and felt something was wrong with this transaction but I was told they couldn't do anything because I agree to send them the money. I tried to call Mr., I was told by the *** who answered the phone Mr. was home sick, so I tried the next day he was with a client, he call me as soon as he was done. So I tried again a couple hours later he was busy with another client, he would call me back. The next day he was in a meeting, later he was gone for the afternoon. The next the same stories when I tried 3 different times that day. So I called the Revdex.com the lady game me the name of the Mgr. Mr.. So I called C.M.S. Financial Company. The same story, he was with client, he would call me back. The next day he just left for lunch, he had to leave early. I tried for 2 more days to talk to him No respond. Then I started getting letter and credit cards from 7 different backs, Chase-Discover, Wells Fargo, Pay pay, First Premier Bank, Barclays, CitiMortgage. This group of people from C.M.S. Financial put applications to all these banks in my name. TransUnion advise me to call these banks and them I didn't apply for their credit cards. Not only did they take my money $1,250 they lowered my credit score that I have been trying to raise it higher. My name is ***. ***. I am 72 years old and handicapped, I need someone to drive me if I have to go somewhere. I worked at my job for 39 years, but have to retire for health reasons. I realized I thought it would help me but I should have know better. I just would like them to please return my money. I feel it was a scam and I fell for it. All I have to live on is my S.S. check, I used my Capital One credit card to by groceries, now I don't have any money left on my credit card. I would be grateful for nay help from the B.B.B. Thank you!

Desired Outcome

Please just return my money because the company has not done anything to help me!

The company CMS Financial returned my money. They were sorry for how it happened! They were sorry for all the stress it caused me. I believe they are a Good company.

Representative from company contacted me about a 0% Chase Visa card. He opened a Citibank card and transferred money from there into his account.
The representative (Mark L) did not explain that it would cost me 5% transfer fee each time I transferred money from Citibank credit card to Chase credit card. He also did not tell me that he would be taking a $3,100 unauthorized balance transfer for himself. Both credit card fraud departments were contacted and immediately closed the accounts, and helped provide information to the Attorney General and local police department.

Desired Outcome

They need to be fully investigated for fraud and financial exploitation (violation of The Older Americans Act of 2006).

This company lied to me about what they would do. After my year was up I was unable to contact my supposed financial advisor.
in December of 2016 I was contacted by phone as a *** reward for always paying paying my bill on time. They called my bank and had $1284.00 transferred to them and I received a *** card that they put all my other CC charges onto at 0%. When I received all the documents from *** I read that it was only for a year which they did not tell me about. When I called to question that they said that when my year was up they would just do it again if I had no bankruptcies or foreclosures. After the year was up my *** went up in percentage rate of interest and I was unable to contact CMS Financial as if it never existed.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of $1284.00 as I was told by Discover I could have gotten the service I received from them on my own for free.
