Bates did a pest treatment on our shrubs and flowersMany of our plants and shrubs were severely damaged or killedThey admitted that they used the wrong product at the wrong time of yearWhen it first happened Bates representative told us that Bates would replace any plants that were damaged or killedI think that they expected the plants to recoverThe plant s have not recoveredI contacted Bates several times asking for them to correct their mistakeI only received the run around or no response at allI provided Pictures and an estimate of the damage and the cost to replace the plants Again no response Our lawn has many areas that have weeds that they apparently cant kill but they sure can kill our good plants
I must say that I am disappointed with the services that I received from Bates Exterminating. After a cursory inspection that really didn't amount to much other than a walk around the property and a peak into the attic, it was determined that I had an infestation of attic rats. Okay with that. The next day six bait boxes were installed outside and as far as I can determine, over the period of one month plus, they were never checked to determine whether or not the bait was eaten and needed re-baiting. I have since hired a new rodent exterminator who has already provided me with a detailed inspection and report, plus a reasonable estimate of cost. That contractor is now plugging up all identified entrances from the outside into the attic, and installing metal screens over the rain downspouts and all pipes and vents that are located on the roof. I would have thought that Bates Exterminating would have done something similar. I feel that I did not get my $295 worth of services from Bates - in fact, I'm sure that I could have bought what is probably the same rat poison at WalMart for a fraction of the cost that I paid to Bates.
