Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted]

I am a little taken a back about this complaint, let me give you a little back ground on this project: Mr *** came to me with completely custom Jeep wrangler that he had installed axles from a Dodge ram and wanted a Yukon Grizzly locker installed in the rear dana and the
existing limited slip that was in the rear axle rebuilt with new clutches and installed into the front dana axle using the stock gears that were in the axles to begin withHe also told me he wanted them setup to race and use offroad with no issuesI set both axles up as he requested and set the back lash to a tight backlash in the rear (Not as he said) so there would be minimal play under hard accelerationI have been setting up gears for years professinally and plus years and have never had a complaint other than defective gears of which I have always warrantedI only use Yukon gears for this reasonIn this case these gear were the same used one that came out of the axlesWhen doing this you should always try and set them up the same way as they came out because you do not want the gear mesh pattern to be different or it will cause the gears to wear differently and cause premature failure. When He left my shop on 5/3, He left my parking lot full throttle and was happy with the truckI did not hear from him again until almost a month later when he called and said his rear wheel Hub and all had fallen off on his way to work and was trying to blame me for the incidentI explained to him that I did not even touch his hub or wheels when doing the work because the axle is a full floating axle that does not require you to pull off the wheel or the wheel hub to rebuild the axle we only pulled out the axle from the center of the axle and reinstalled when finishedHe was still trying to blame me but was resigned to fact that we did not do thisKeep in mind He built this truck not CNC OffroadThen he called back later and said there was a dust cover on the front axle that had been installed upside down and how could have done thatI talked with my tech that did the work and he informed me that it had been installed that way when he took the shield off and he put it back on the same way when installing the front gearsA couple of days went by and he called me again complaining that the rear end had been setup too tight and it was wrong per the Chrysler specand wanted me to check itAt that time he told me that it only had backlashThe only reason he even took the cover off the rear axle and checked it was because he was trying to clean all the metal shaving out of the housing due to the bearings being destroyed when his hub and wheel had came loose due to the nuts not be properly tightened by either him or someone elseHe had no issues with the setup or function of the locker install for over a month. I set up an appointment for him to bring the jeep in on Wednesday 6/On that date, I put his jeep on the lift and He and I together checked the back lash with my dial indicator ( a finger style indicator ) and got a reading ofHe said that the Chrysler manual said to at that timeI again told him that this a custom truck and that it is much lighter and will be used for racing and offroad use and should be set up tighter than stockHe said he understood and I told him I was not going to change it because It would change the pattern and should stay where it isKeep in mind that At this point I had already used over an hour of my shop time showing him there was nothing wrong with the setup and He told me he had no issue with the rear end until the hub came off in the prior monthHe then wanted me to pull out the carrier so he could clean all the metal shavings that was in the tubes of the housing from the hub coming offI pulled his carrier using pry bars (been doing it this way for years) I dont like using case spreaders because it stresses the case and I told him that alsoHe spent another hour cleaning out his tube on my lift and I reinstalled the carrier using a BRASS Drift punch and a hammer, refilled it with fluid and he leftHe even gave me dollars for the materials that he used of mineI did not ask for anything. In retrospect, I should have charged him shop rate for wasting my time showing him nothing was wrongI don't understand how he did not receive what he paid for and that I should give him a refund of $The work that I did is EXACTLY what he paid for and I warranty that workIf he knew how to do it and had all the specs to do it then he should have done it himselfThe bottom line is NOTHING was wrong with the work that I did, NOTHING failed due to my work, and he did not do ANYTHING over again as he stated in the complaintHe or someone that put the hub in caused all of this and because He had to fix that he wants me to help pay for thatThe statement in the complaint that "I had to fix his lack of care and judgment" is a total statement and does not reflect what work CNC Offroad doesI get most of my work from word of mouth and this type of slander will hurt my businessI have never had a complain in the years that I have been doing this professionally as you see from my record I do not expect this to be published but If it does any knowledgeable gear installer would agree with the above. I am NOT giving him a refund. Desired Outcome:I would like paid for the hrs of shop time I spent showing him nothing was wrong and allowing him to use my lift and area to clean out his housing. Desired Settlement:$160 *** ***
