Bought a Kitchen Aid Oven March 12, 2018, the enamel inside the oven is chipping out with normal wear of the oven.
It was over a year when I noticed and reported this so Kitchen Aid manufacture does not cover warranty.
Bought Extended Warranty from Co-op@Home, however, the company states this is cosmetic damage and it is not covered.
Co-op has stated that the Extended warranty company they were dealing with was not good so they have since changed companies, however, they initially wanted me to go directly to the company to fight my own case. I did this for a while but then let them know that they were the dealer and should be dealing with this company on my behalf since I paid them.
They have since said this is not covered and the oven is still operational and there is no reason to replace or fix the oven....however, how do I trust the self cleaning feature and there must be a good reason every oven made has enamel to protect against rust etc.
This is more than cosmetic damage.
They have since offered me to pay for 1/2 of another oven or credit 1/2 the price of their cost of the oven.

Desired Outcome

Replacement I believe this oven needs to be totally replaced or covered for cost due to the defective product sold.

As stated to the customer - this product is out of warranty - the extended service plan company only covers the same items the manufacturer covers - both the manufacturer and the warranty company have declined to cover the product, as cosmetic damage is not a "manufacturers defect". I did attempt to get*** (the warranty company) to cover the cost of a new range. They declined. Being that the range is out of warranty, we, as a one time good will gesture, offered to cover half of the cost of a new range for the client. Which they declined. Being that it is out of warranty and almost 2 years old, we believe this to be a fair compromise.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept that enamel chipping out of an oven appliance is cosmetic. At the very least it will rust which will shorten life of the appliance. Co-op is willing to take money for an appliance manufacturer which they don't actually stand by! Amazing they still sell this product even though they take no responsibility at all for customer satisfaction!

As stated - the manufacturer says this is cosmetic damage and not covered by warranty. Co-op has offered to pay 50% of the cost of the replacement product - which is out of warranty, and almost 2 years old. We believe this offer is more than fair.
