Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/05/26) */
Ripped awning from being left out overnight in the wind is the cause of thisThis was explained to the customer.Customer admitted leaving it open ,which is not recommended .We tried to get it thru warranty but the awning company refused because
of the above reason noted above. If the customer wants to bring the trailer in we can have the awning removed and repaired at a discount. Also all trailer manufacturers use the same quality awnings ,no manufacturer will warranty a ripped awning caused by windthank you
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/05/31) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Thats an excuse not to fix.out of trailers that were at the campsite only mine broke. Its a defect. The awning was down with the light on and should not of broke that easy*** *** *** ***

Hello, first of all I would like to let you know that we requested that the factory re assess their decision to deny warranty coverage on the water seal in question as a "good will" repair and the factory has agreed and instructed the customer to have *** ** ** re submit the claimWe have forwarded
the email from the factory to the customer so hopefully this satisfies their complaint.I would also like to point out that the customer chose to have a third party do the service which is fine but not really fair to us as we never had a chance to address the various problems before the warranty coverage ran outIt sounds like *** ** ** has solved all their issues except this one and that was mostly because the customer waited so long to submit it for warranty. Also with regard to the customers comments about what happened with the unit before they purchased it I would like to respond by saying that our computer system logs all repairs and work orders for all the units on our lotWe have no record of changing any slide seals, tent ends or any other parts on this trailer at any timeIn fact we can not even bring it in the shop or order any parts without it being logged into the computer system to generate a work order or purchase order for parts so no, this was not a "parts trailer" nor had we changed any parts before the customer picked it upI understand that the customer is upset but making such an accusation is uncalled for, an example is the customers statement that it is not an OEM tent, well there is no other kind of tent, there are no aftermarket tents made for hybrid trailers...they do not exist so saying it is not an OEM tent makes no sense at all.Any way it sounds like the factory will authorize *** ** ** to replace the seal so that is good, the customer should be happy after all.COACHWORKS RVBelow is the email chain where the factory instructed us to submit the claim for the new seal, this email has been forwarded to the customer.JR, The customer will have the repair done in Manitoba where she lives, the dealer will let you know if there is more to it.
