Customer brought vehicle in on 12/29/with a Check Engine Light on, traction control system light on, reduced engine power message, and unit was not idling properly. Customer had replaced the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor prior to bringing the vehicle into shop for diagnosis. Technician
found multiple failure codes in system; P1101, P0121, P0101, P2119. Technician found poor wiring connection at the wiring connector for the MAF sensor. Customer was advised of issue and advised this was a first step and possibly other issues that would need resolved. Replacement of the MAF sensor wiring connector corrected one issue, but did not correct all of the customers issues. Vehicle still was not idling correctly. Technician reprogrammed the Electronic Control Module (ECM) and performed an idle relearn procedure with no change. Technician contacted GM technical assistance and was advised to perform a global disconnect and perform a replace and reprogram procedure on the ECM. Still no change. ECM was found to have an internal failure. Technician replaced and programmed the ECM, peformed theft system relearn and crankshaft variation position relearn as per replacement procedure and vehicle is operating correctly.The vehicles manufacture Bumper to Bumper warranty expired on 6/17/2012, and the vehicles Emission and Powertrain warranty expired on 6/17/2014. There was no mention by the customer of any Extended Warranty policy that they may have. If the customer has an Extended Warranty plan, I would encourage them to bring the policy and coverage paperwork to the dealership for the Service Manager to review and take appropriate action

We cut a check to the customers lender on 10/08/That check was cashed on 10/28/
