Review: My husband and I were financed by Coast Acceptance Corporation for a 2005 Volvo from through a dealership called Approved Auto credit in South Gate. We ended up turning the vehicle back into the dealership for major mechanical problems. Still being financed and responsible for this vehicle according to Coast Acceptance, the dealer agreed to put us in a vehicle to replace the one we returned. Long story short we ended up finding another vehicle but Coast Acceptance Corporation could not finance us for that vehicle so they explained that the dealer had to buy back the loan and this would void out our contract with them. So this took place. Today we received a notice from Coast Acceptance Corporation (who we were told we no longer had a contract with) stating that we were past due on our payment for the Volvo, the one we returned. I called Coast Acceptance to see why I received this and was told that we no longer are under a contract with them. When I requested a document stating such information as they were telling me so that I could have it for my records I was told that I had to speak to the dealership that they would not give it to me. I questioned my right to have such information by them since they had originally financed me. They refused to give me this documentation. But that I could call back and speak to the supervisor. It was [redacted] that I was speaking to before. I called and spoke with the supervisor [redacted] (who was extremely rude and kept cutting me off) requesting documentation that we are no longer responsible for this loan that was resold back to the dealership. Again [redacted] refused and told me that they did not have to give me such documentation. I explained that I just wanted something for my records stating that I was no longer responsible and that no money was owed to them and that the contract was voided out. Something to protect me since I had not signed anything cancelling this contract. Again [redacted] refused rudely stating as I said we do not have to give this to you.Desired Settlement: We would like a letter(on paper with their letter head) from Coast Acceptance Finance Corporation stating that we are no longer responible for the 2005 Volvo that is was sold back to Approved Auto Credit. Even something stating that our current balnce on this vehicle is $0.00 balance. Thank You

I requested a letter/documentaion from the company in writing on paper with their letter head ,stating I know longer have a balance. I want it to include the account number that is in file for this account and the date is was paid in full as well as what type of vehicle that was financed.Which was a 2005 Volvo S40. I want it to be mailed to my home address [redacted] Ave [redacted], CA [redacted].
