reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved Please note: Coast Roofing response is just wrong He refunded my deposit, so I am done He tried to raise the price on me (again!), and I refused to accept it He offered me my deposit back Then he didn't send it I finally told his employee that I had all the paperwork ready to go to the contractor state license board if he didn't have the check to me by 9am the next day He did The check was good I'm done Thank you for your assistance
For the record, I did not request extra work, and I was only rude, etc because he did not return my calls, raised prices once, then tried to raise prices again Not a very nice person to deal with over the phone
But again, I'm done Thank you

Before doing business with Mr. Jeff Kane I recommend doing your research. We interviewed and received estimates from 5 roofers. The red flags were his bid coming in at half the price as others. Sounds good at first I know, but it's likely for a reason. Later, we found out his license is under suspension due to failure to comply. Once I mentioned this to him his tone changed and he became defensive. I mentioned that out of 12 yelp reviews 3 have a 1 star rating. His reply was being in business over 30 this is inevitable (I agree) but yelp didn't exist 30 years ago. So really 3 bads and 9 good sound like settling to me (if you chose to do business with them).
THE WORST PART WAS when I told him that he wasn't a good fit for what we are looking for in a roofing company, he once again became defensive and went as far as WANTING TO SCHEDULE A TIME TO MEET ME AND FIGHT. It's so ridiculous who knows what you may be thinking reading this. In short, please do your research and be sure you feel comfortable doing business with someone like this and be sure you feel confident they will address any issues you may have with the work Coast Roofing may do for you.
