Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Dear [redacted], I have been out of the country for the last 2 weeks.  I am not satisfied with the company's response.  They should have done the venting job when they replaced the roof.  The bottom line is that the ceiling is taking water because it was not done properly.
Regards,

I spoke with [redacted] from the business and she stated that the company replaced the roof per their contract with the seller. The seller asked for a basic roof. When they went back out to look at the roof they suggested to the consumer that they look into getting box vents put in. That work was not in...

the contract with the seller. The skylights are not leaking its the moisture in the consumers home. The company suggests that the consumer get a moisture and mold company to look in the attic. [redacted] stated that anything done to the roof from here would be the responsibility of the consumer.

Review: A new roof was put on our home on May 17 of 2010. The cost of our roof was $11,260. By July we noticed that all 4 skylights leaked. Coastal Contracting came out to our home about 4 or 5 times to repair the leaking skylights. 1 skylight still leaks intermittently. The simply could not fix it.

By February 2011 we notice water marks streaking in our guest room ceiling. We notified Coastal Contracting [redacted] shingled part of the roof. They said faulty shingles were to blame. Unfortunately in January 2014 we had the same issue in our guest room. WE called them back - this time they came and said the issue was condensation called by inadequate venting. They responded to this call once I threatened to contact the Revdex.com. After telling me that a venting issue was to blame - After 3 days and numerous texts, emails and phone calls - no response. After the roof was installed (with the highest quality shingles) in 2010 we have had this company come back to our home at least 6-8 times - and the job has NEVER been completed. The roof still leaks and condensation has caused molding and water damage......Desired Settlement: After 6-8 times at my home I would like them to write a check for the venting repair and let me hire someone else to do the job correctly. I will also need to hire someone to fix the skylight. I would settle for them to repair it if they actually could...
